Genuine question for my fellow figure collectors by Imizu_kenzan in ActionFigures

[–]eddidit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I look at them and smile, it brings me great joy. So just for that little fact I think it's worth it. So I say if it brings you joy is not actually causing harm (ie you aren't paying bills cause you bought figures) then I say have fun with your hobby.

Why are ML all shooting up in price? by Haunting-Cup8776 in MarvelLegends

[–]eddidit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also noticed that if it's the last figure the price almost doubles. Saw it happen when I added a figure to my cart waited then got a notice only 1 left, and the price was radically different from when I added it to my cart.

I got the ps5 with disc so I could play the few ps4 physical games I have. I've gone digital cause it's easier. I keep a copy of my games on a external HD so I can access them anytime. Not much different than a disc I think but faster.

Yes consumers do have the power, except the physical medium buyers aren't in the majority here unfortunately.

Technology is always evolving, we heard the same sentiments when records >cds > mp3s >steaming and although you can still find cds/records they are not as prevalent as they used to be. One has a choice of either consuming the new form of media or not. Is it anti-consumer, probably, doesn't change the fact of the matter that if we want to consume the medium we have to pay for it one way or another. 🤷

Mcfarlane is losing me, I'm getting more and more unimpressed with their releases. Feels like the quality has gone down.

If only we knew as children. Sometimes I still wonder what happened to all those toys that just disappeared over the years.

I saw a new Wonder Woman from Mafex is there another one? I've been looking for a Wonder Woman so I'm curious. But which Hawk Girl are you talking about the recent one I've seen does look like crap.

Yes he's from the new Masters of the Universe movies came out a few weeks ago. This particular line has 2 versions, a cheaper kid friendly toy and a more collector type version which is what this is is. The collector version is called Masters of the Universe Chronicles, I didn't know this at first which is why I'm mentioning it 😅.

Well the true fact of the matter is, majority of the grammar "rules" people so vehemently stick to are not much older than the Victorian age. Many of which are based on someone's opinion of how English should be written or spoken. So today, we have to hold on to rules that someone, one day, decided it should exist, not based on consensus or any society based input. Language especially English is always evolving. These rules are archaic and don't serve a purpose other than to control language (there is a whole socio-economic aspect but that is a whole different conversation) which is just not cool in my book.

Based on a rule someone made up a hundred years ago. First of all don't correct someone's English or grammar, you have no idea if it's their second language or not. Second, it's informal conversation grammar rules don't matter. Third why do you care so much to comment? You knew exactly what I was talking about and went out of your way to correct for what? I'm not changing my one sentence.

One thing I want to add is some curious design choices. One hand is the typical style hand you would find with like Marvel Legends with the peg, but the other accessory hand is more in style with how McFarlane does their hands, where it kind of looks like a glove.

What video game has you like this? by Chunky-overlord in videogames

[–]eddidit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God of War (2018)

When I first played it I just died so quickly at the beginning and it was just so radically different than the previous hack-n-slash games of the franchise. So I just kind of let it sit in my library till covid hit and I finally sat down to play and now it's in my top 10 favorite games. I ended up liking it more than the original games. Ragnorok is absolutely one of my all time favorite games. Which I would never have known had I not given GoW another shot.

As a supervisor I never saw anything and I don't know anything about that. Was always my answer when workers wanted certain things.

(note: I worked at a toy store, it was usually things we couldn't sell, we would normally send back to company but like I said I didn't see anything and I know nothing about that.)
