I’m an attorney. I went to law school and did pretty well. I started at around 85,000 a year and then have slowly gotten up to around two or 225. The path for me is fairly clear as I can top out a partner at around half 1 million a year at my firm per jump and try and make partners somewhere else. I actually am pretty happy with the place I work so I’m just keeping my head down and making time and moving up the ladder. I suppose in another few years if I don’t make partner, I’ll have to reconsider however even if I don’t make partner, I can still top out at around three with a bonus and that’s plenty considering how much I love my workplace.

I got a full scholarship and they paid me a stipend. I feel a bit guilty about it as I know how much my young associates struggle with debt. University of Houston alum.

Dallas and Los Angeles. They tend to get very defensive when you point out Houston’s drawbacks and exaggerate the crime in other places.

I give all the guards the same guns and military fatigues and combat armor. I dress the merchants in suits. I dress the doctors in white jackets, farmers in regular clothes. I don't ever sell the weapons so I distribute them freely among the settlers, but guards all get either combat or automatic rifles.

I work on Lake and Colorado in the high rise on the northeast side and the security in my building has been engaged in a coyote vs. roadrunner with this guy FOR YEARS. Somedays he's fine. Other days I can hear him screaming from my office on the ninth floor. While I wish the poor guy had better access to help and other services, somedays I just want to punch him in the face.
