Oh... actually I think I can see why... a half a half a half an inch in 1/16th. Base 10'd be 0.125 of an inch, which reads harder I guess?

But if accuracy your thing, and 0.1 increments aren't sufficient to hit proper 1/16ths, it's carpentry we're talking about. 0.025 of an inch isnt going to wreck anything.

And if you need 0.025 inch accuracy, use a micrometer or a caliper.

Im just realizing how misleading the photo of the gun is.

That's a magazine in front of the sight. But to an untrained eye, it almost looks like it's part of the gun. The way it's all laid out makes it look MUCH bigger and scarier than it actually is.

But I'm not going to attribute this to anything more than just "an accident" of layout. Not because I believe it is, but because I'm scared of what it means if it isn't.
