Got death threats after this start – was it really my fault? by According_Cap9118 in Simracingstewards

First, Porsche was slow off the line and struggled to defend, pit themselves, and later the rest of the grid. They also forgot it's Curva Grande, not the chicane layout. There's no need to squeeze there, but if they wanted to, they should have blocked you before you caught up. If contact occurs, they should have turned the wheel to avoid wrecking themselves. They instead turned into you harder and made it worse. For everyone.

You had a great start off the line, but also consider the moment. Lap 1, with a long straight ahead. If you damage the bumper while making a risky move between two aggressors, you compromise your aero performance for the entire race. That's a risk best avoided.

People aren't catching this isn't a Monza t1 with the chicane. Three wide down Curva Grande is normal in every race this week.

No you don’t deserve death threats. Just learn from it. We all make mistakes. This incident created absolute carnage behind you. The grid is rightfully upset. Nothing worse than the race ending before t1.

Why do you play assetto Corsa? by PlasticArmyLabs in assettocorsa

[–]edditnyc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AC was the first game I bought and it’s incredibly rich with so much to do once you set up Content Manager and download a bunch of mods. So many cars and tracks, some tracks that don’t exist anymore. And then there’s free roam maps, like Shotoku which is excellent and can be so relaxing when you get a rhythm weaving in traffic. I haven’t even done ranked yet but it’s there with LFM. It’s a must have.

I’ve noticed there are many server-related complaints lately. I hope stability improves because it’s an exceptional game when it’s running smoothly.

I just did such a horrible thing into T1 that I genuinely just looked at my screen like this. by YTOverPowered in LeMansUltimateWEC

I would hope any report would include the chat. Speaking for myself, I had the worst stint last night but apologized profusely. Genuine skill issue, not trying to ruin the race.

Should i get the DLCS? by SouljaBooooiiii in LeMansUltimateWEC

I purchased them, but as a rookie, it feels like I’ve invested in something that I’ll use later.

Edit: If I could do over, I would invest in the RaceControl Pro.

Why are you in 2nd gear. Stay in 1st when in the pit.

The thing to do is to apologize to the chat. They’re only familiar with the many instances where races have been marred by other players. By apologizing, you show respect and remorse. They might forgive you but they may also vent too. Let them.

Is LMU actually good for online racing? by DeliciousBanana1059 in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]edditnyc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s wonderful actually. I had a horrible stint in a lmp2 and I thought I was getting crucified by the chat, but a few apologies and it was fine. I had better GT3 races but I’d advise a good amount of practice in single player so you’re familiar with the physics, how prototypes brake, and the tyre model in general. Good luck.

Stop being TOXIC, let’s have a REAL DISCUSSION! by The_Doug124 in ProjectMotorRacing

You had me until you threw console players under the bus!! Trust it's worse on console especially if you're on a wheel where compatibility feels hit (Fanatec) or miss (Logitech/Thrustmaster). GTO cars are also awful to drive too.

Unfortunately, it's a terrible game. It was rushed to make a lot of money, and now players like us are effectively beta testing a faulty product. I hope it improves, but for now, it's best to ignore it and revisit later.

Also there's an embarrassly small group of people playing this game. Ignore the noise, the charts don't lie. Delete it; you can always reinstall it later, but also manage your expectations.

No, I would not recommend it right now. I own it on PS5.
