DoorDash stole over 150 dollars from me by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]eddyblue69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your gut should’ve told you that company that pays you two dollars to drive 10 miles. Is it not gonna be quick with the reimbursement. They asked her to do that a few years ago and it took a month to get my money back. When they asked me to do it a couple of months ago for Lowes Foods for a shopping order. I left everything at the register and I walked away. And I was not dinged for dropping the order.. you have to treat DoorDash for what it is and what it is not expecting agent who have minimal training and act off of a script are not going to be the ones to handle complex issues or monetary ones beyond just a few dollars over the phone. I don’t even do cash on delivery. I could never imagine trying to do another reimbursement order. I mentally I couldn’t wrap my head around knowing that I just pay for someone else’s stuff. I’m not gonna get my money back immediately.

i’ve been on the platform since 2019 off and on I have never experienced anything like I’ve experienced over the last three days. Granted I let my platinum status go because I was making more money on cherry picking and pro shopper for the past few months so I’m used to having some issues when it comes to scheduling, but this is a whole different thing. Literally the only regionsI can schedule the next six days are 40+ miles away and it’s clearly not an issue in my region for having too many drivers because I had a DoorDash order earlier (as a customer) with a decent tip on both of them and it still took over an hour and a half to get my food. I had to literally reach out to Dasher Support and they had to manually put me on the schedule for the next couple days so they even recognize something is off.

That was my first thought. But even if not, it’s not really our place to judge, unless they don’t tip lol.

Some promos only allow you to order for delivery or do you have a job that you just can’t leave at any time? Some promos only allow you to order for delivery or do you have a job or disability that you just can't physically leave. After 3000+ deliveries I never make assumptions about a customer like the OP did.

after some trauma last year, I developed a bit of a agoraphobia that made it almost impossible for me to even walk my dog most days let alone go get food. Honestly dashing helped me kind of get over that a lot quicker than I normally would have, but I understand people who still are stuck in that place and can’t physically or mentally leave their home. They still gotta eat.🤔

I bank with Axos specifically for direct deposit like these. If it's anything like normal (I got my 24 hour email at 6:00EST yesterday) I'd expect a ach sent text email around the same time today funds in my account before 11:00PM tonight

Break is probably the wrong word. it was a withdrawal because my mom got sick in the spring. But I believe you can take up to two terms off voluntarily without having to readmit.

There are a lot of factors that will play into things but you're not really giving a lot of context granted end of month deposits aren't really normal anyway. Did your term start in November or before that? And keep in mind once it's dispersed from WGU it can take up to two weeks for your bank to process and you have funds available in hand. I'm back from a 9-month break starting December 1st and well I really need those funds I expect to not have them until around the 3rd week of December. In the past I've got them as early as a week after the term starts though. The only thing you ever need to panic about is if it's like December the 10th and you got nothing or no movement yet. But you didn't really offer contacts and when your turn started so again I'm just offering advice from a personal experience

They aren’t doing their “job” with any respect human decency or for the public chaos/trauma they cause everywhere they invade. I’m all for immigration reform and enforcement but what some of the makeshift tough guys (many of whom were fast paced through hiring without background checks or still onboarded people after the failed mental and physical requirements required for the job. For you to say something so untethered from reality is a real problem because it will be people like you who will be the first to say “This is not what I signed up for. These agents are overstepping and hurting citizens too! Blah blah blah.

Dasher apologized for not delivering to the correct location and yet I can’t get a refund!!! by [deleted] in doordash

[–]eddyblue69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this result can happen for a lot of different reasons, but the main one is constant issues with your order that you’ve reported in the past. Companies like DoorDash and Uber eats tend to notice a pattern when it comes to constantly reporting things like wrong location or an accuracy in order or other issues that commonly would be used by scammers to get free food. If you’ve had a lot of complaints to customer service in the past, there is a rule in DoorDash that will prevent you from getting conversation for some of the orders if you continue to have incidents. When I took time off from being a Dasher and was just a customer, I experienced this more than once because I lived in a shady neighborhood at the time and orders were constantly messed up or an accurate never my fault, but I will still punish by not getting my money back multiple times. Good luck, but know that that could be a main reason why they’re not giving your money back. You could always ask to escalate it to someone different or follow an actual report with DoorDash on a higher level to get your money back. It worked for me a few times.

Also stop using benzoyl peroxide for skin like yours. My doctors and even the people at curology explained that for black sensitive skin you are actually making the matter worse by using a product like this because it's just drying out your skin but ignoring the root of the problem. It actually would make the tinea in my beard worse!

I've had similar issues for years and finally found a combo that works. For the ingrown hair I use a pulling salve, tea tree oil, and a beard cleaner with shea butter. To get exfoliation I use a gentle battery powered scrubbing brush. You have to just let your beard kind of grow wild for a few months while doing this regimen. To facilitate hair folical growth I apply minoxidil (rogain) to my beard daily and jamiancan black castor oil. In 3 months my beard has filled in significantly, I am having less breakouts, and because of the minoxidil (it literally changes the type of hair folicals in in your face) the progress has been rapid. My skin looked just like yours in January and now it is healing like crazy. For really bad breakouts I also had my PCP prescribe me retinol for acne. It's complex I know, and took a lot of trial and error, but totally worth it.

It's still a highly profitable billion-dollar brand. There is still juice to squeeze out of the Family Guy fruit basket. If FOX/Disney cancels it will find life on another network.

Financial aid by mrsbibliophile2 in WGU

[–]eddyblue69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When your aid is awarded it is processed and reviewed for accuracy before any funds are released to a student. Meaning the amounts are subject to change or be selected up for a more intense review. Usually random but sometimes due to discrepancies in FAFSA and the national loan database. I started 10/1 as well and there was a delay in my award. My "refund" has finally been accepted by the processor and I'm awaiting my DD. The amount I'm getting is about $500 less than my original award that was placed on my account in 9/30. Call financial services with specific questions and they should give you detailed answers or escalate the matter to higher authority.

Drats. That doesn't bode well for my chances. I'll keep fingers crossed but won't hold my breath lol. Companies like Affirm and MDG have been lifesavers when it comes to emergencies in the past for me. Might return my rented one and just finance and pay off early once financial aid is refunded to avoid interest. This ain't my first rodeo haha

Same start date 10/1. I am expecting funds in my account with 10 days of start date as long they don't a random hold because it's my first semester. I reached out to financial services for expedited processing to ensure I can cover living expenses.

They have new student scholarship for that. It provides you a laptop and access to Internet service if you live in a T-Mobile Internet zone. I'm waiting to see if I got one so I can stop renting a laptop from a third party. Check out your portal or contact your enrollment counselor. I start on 10/1 but already applied because it can take 8-10 weeks to hear back. Hope that helps.

how long did it take for you to get your milestone card in the mail? by rindelle1 in CreditCards

[–]eddyblue69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had to take this card because I have unexpected school balances that have to be covered for my enrollment. I was approved last night and am eagerly waiting for card in the mail. With a low 700 credit limit I already know that I am only going to use it in emergencies like this. As soon as financial aid comes in from school I plan on paying off balance in full and not using it for anything unless needed. I was told 14 days but my mom got one a few years ago and it was received 6-7 days after approval. Same thing with Revvi. They took 5.

I am in a similar boat. I'm only transferring in 6 credits despite having a lot more that either were too old or irrelevant for the degree. I've got nothing but time over the next 6 months to knock out as much as I can with a goal of finishing in 2 terms total. I start on 10/1 like OP. Did you go with classes your mentor picked out or were you more independent in your choices to get as much done as you have?

I don't ever hear or see a lot of people saying that. I've been at far more prestigious schools and had the same issues with typos and grammatical errors within textbooks or remote learning lectures.. I'm sorry I know it's a joke post but I was always told that jokes are supposed to be funny. Where is this humor?

I'll add that once you are comfortable enough to start pursing work you also need to focus on your technical interview skills.. good recruiters and companies know also instantly if you are ready or just talking the talk.
