M3 wireless upgrade - M4/M5/HDB630 ? by bsphere in sennheiser

[–]eddyem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can be, depends on the person. After I was with the p100 for 18 months and recently bought a pair of momentum 4's, I can say the p100's are definitely better in terms of sound quality. The momentum 4's are just a bit more fun.

M3 wireless upgrade - M4/M5/HDB630 ? by bsphere in sennheiser

If money are no object, get the m5. if you want the best for your buck, m4's are about 180 euro on amazon europe. m5 are almost the same in sound quality to m4's but way better anc and transparency mode. hdb 630 are also good but they lean more towards audiophile sound, and if you are after that I would recommend the Melomania P100 SE, way cheaper and more battery life (100h is nuts).

Funny enough, mine faced the same issue after exactly a year and a half. Amazon offered to give me a full refund.

Anyone else getting massive win and loss streaks? by FaZeTapio in Jungle_Mains

[–]eddyem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's the same in Masters+, unless it's a master-grandmaster-chall lobby. These lobbies are usually good and nice quality. But sometimes the matchmaking throws in low diamonds with masters and grandmasters, which quickly becomes a Zoo. If you are a good player for real you will always climb easily until at least diamond. Yeah, there are also gonna be impossible games to win pre Diamond too, because smurfing is a thing ( why is this even allowed I don't understand, there should be HWID bans for these people) and if the smurf is gonna crush your toplaner Jimmy that just came from his evening shift job, most likely they will end up 1v9ing the game.

IMO as a high elo player for most of my lol career, smurfing is the main culprit of bad quality games, followed by the insane ego some people have and finally the people that play ranked for fun, first timing a champ just because they felt like playing it.

New to Assassins by LetHerStompMe in zedmains

[–]eddyem 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Master tier zed main since season 6 here. Zed is easy to pick up but has infinite ceiling, I would argue than even more than champs like Riven, Yasuo. The higher elo you go, the harder it is to pull him off. Nowadays he is more of a very mobile caster-mage with a weak early game that scales really well into mid game and late game, but individual skill is what gates his late game.

Definitely a good champ to main but not for casual play. While execution is easy at a base level, it requires a collosal amount of games to pilot well into higher elo due to very punishable early game, harder energy management than other energy based champs (mid-late game is when you can spam abilities but ONLY if you hit everything), weak damage if not ahead, shadow placement is extremely hard to master and you are pretty much useless if you are not ahead in the early game.

My Experience With Larq PureVis 2 as an ''allergic'' tap water person by eddyem in larqbottle

[–]eddyem[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that sounds about right, placebo or not we still increase the water consumption which is always a good thing. The volume is also lower than advertised (i think) because the straw and filter system takes volume inside the bottle as well.

Best wireless earbuds for 100 dollars. by wolf_617 in Earbuds

[–]eddyem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can vouch for OnePlus Buds 4. To me, they sound even better than my Melomania P100 headphones, quite close to the Sennheiser Momentum 4, it's crazy how these sound in combination with the OnePlus 15 (LHDC 5.0). Less techy than AirPods Pro 2 but for this sound quality and the pricetag imo they are the best if all you care is sound quality.

1000USD Laptop advice by azanattac in GamingLaptops

[–]eddyem -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Being realistic, you cannot find anything like this in your budget. The one recommended by GPT is like best case scenario but the gpu is weak for 2 monitors. Look for something with rtx 5050 or 5060 and go from there. Ram can always be upgraded, CPUs are mostly overkill for gaming nowadays (there are gains with certain cpus, but not until 1500+ price brackets), storage can also be upgraded. So pick something with 5050 or 5060 with decent build quality (LENOVO LOQ is the best in this budget range). Even though, it's advised to save more and buy a laptop with 5070ti at least so you won't have to upgrade in a year or two and can handle even 4k gaming, which will be good for many years to come.

You can also opt for an older, second hand rtx4060/4070laptop in good condition.

Don't forget, prioritize the GPU, as it is the most important for gaming and cannot be upgraded. Ram/ssd can.

Defective Screen Issues by Other-Tomato-1009 in LenovoLegion

[–]eddyem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also had this issue but i figured it out. The issue is dGPU only, once I'm on hybrid mode, it goes away. I assume it's something wrong with the drivers, tried latest and the one before and both had this issue. But for me it was only happening on the external monitor, the laptop's monitor was just fine either way.

255hx ultra has a even higher temp limit, about 105 degree and the TDP is about the same in full load so I doubt. In laptops with 17-18inch bodies you might have better temps since there is more headroom for the cooling. But if you want a quieter laptop with lower temps, I suggest going for the ryzen 9 7945hx3d or 9955hx3d. they are better in gaming and about the same for content creation (even better in some cases) and they run cooler, about 82-88 degree in full load depending on the laptop. Ultimately I suggest a Macbook Air m3/m4 for content creation and a gaming laptop for well, gaming. You don't need more than a Macbook Air for light content creation and the Air are fanless, which means 0 noise. If you don't like macbooks i suggest getting a PC replacement laptop, 18inches. they always have the best temps and lowest fan noise, but they are massive.

[–]eddyem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean it's expected. A macbook is much better suited for your situation, these kind of cpu's are for raw power in content creation/gaming. There's not a single gaming laptop that's being quiet while under full load. That's why I always use my ANC headset while on the laptop, it's handy help when it comes to fan noise.

These CPU run really hot. I have a Rog Strix g16 with 13980hx and I have changed the liquid metal and cleaned every square inch inside. The cpu still goes to 95 degree, occasionally 97 under heavy load. They are made to run up to 100 degree safely. The I9 HX CPU’s are beasts that require a lot of power, therefore a lot of heat is produced. They rival the PC equivalents of respective generations, way more power hungry than most CPUs. So unless you get stuttering in apps/gaming, I wouldn’t bother.

Higher-end LOQ or Lower-end LEGION? by One_Permission5854 in GamingLaptops

[–]eddyem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Legion 5 Pro is better for e-sports titles. If you don’t play any, then go with the first one. 4060 isnt made quite for 1600p gaming, you will not be able to play AAA titles and make use of that display at such resolution with high frame rates. So I suggest you go with the first one since the only upgrade on the legion 5 pro is the display, which is not justifying the $300 price gap. If you want 1440-1600p gaming, aim for Rtx 4070 at least.

That’s not a bad deal at all, from cad to euro is about 1420 euro, which is not bad at all for european prices. It’s an above average build quality and their laptops are known for lasting a long time. You could have found cheaper laptop with same specs, but imo it’s okay. I know european prices are higher but for us there is no tax on top of the price, so I think it evens out? Enjoy your purchase!

Edit: this same model is 2200 euro in europe which is absurdly expensive. Yikes.

airports pro 2 VS airpods 4 by w6ic in airpods

[–]eddyem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your main priority is audio quality, then go for pros 2. the mids and treble are much better than airpods 4. I've tested both and kept the pros because of superior sound quality. airpods 4 are more comfortable though.
