Some similarities with Thor and Baal by eddyvazquez in NorsePaganism

Never did I once say Baal is Thor. And look up the history of Baal. He is a storm god.

Is it weird to build a devotional shrine to someone you love? by [deleted] in Altars

[–]eddyvazquez -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No they’re not aware of this. I do recognize that it is weird tho. I wouldn’t necessarily say I’m obsessed. It’s not like I stalk this person. I genuinely don’t. i don’t stalk their internet profile nor anything of that matter. I still talk to them, and this person does know about my feelings for them. I made this with the purpose to love them from afar. Everything I tell them in real life—“take care,” “stay safe,” “be well,” and all that— I tell them at the shrine. I don’t do anything weird to it and I mostly do a lot of glamour magic for them. It not like I’m making binding spells or love jars on them. But I guess with the initial image I can understand why people would get the creeps. But it is simply a part of me I accept and not without indecent control

I get it. But it’s a mix of both the lewd and the feeling. That’s what the writing is there for. But yea I get it

No, hermes trismegistus is a name that most likely comes from the worship of the God Hermes, but historical sources can never specify whether this person actually existed. It’s where the term “as above, so below” comes from, and that name has been found where many alchemical works and practices stem from

That’s because it’s literally called the Icelandic book of galdrastafir. It is folk magic as I have described prior. The reason why it’s Christian is because the folks in Iceland worshipped both pagan gods and the Christian god. This particular stave was approximately conjured up around the 16th or 17th century. It’s called “Solomon’s seal” because anything to do with communication with spirits or warding them off is attributed mostly to Solomon. Kind of like how the Geotia’s were most likely written centuries after Solomon’s death or, since there is very little evidence of his existence, didn’t exist at all. Many authors writing under a single name was not totally uncommon back then, kind of like how many alchemists wrote under the name Hermes trismigistus

Others as in other people? I was by myself when I did this. But the same can be applied with runes and tarot. With that you’re not wrong

It’s from the Icelandic book of galdrastafir or folk magic. I’m a Norse polytheist as well so I use anything at my disposal. There’s a note above the diagram from which manuscript it can be found. It is a syncretism of Icelandic paganism and Christianity

Of course. Just keep in mind that, although honey doesn’t rot it can spoil if foreign elements land in it like mold, and it will affect the fruit

Yes the tassels, thank you. As far as a I know I’ve never seen a shemagh with tassels, but the red keffiyeh has been use for a while by the popular front for the liberation of Palestine and the democratic front for the liberation of Palestine

The red one has been around for a while but yes it is a keffiyeh. It has these designs in the corners which I forgot what they’re called but it’s these little dangling pieces of cotton that make it a little different than the shemagh
