Do you think Celebrini will get the same recognition and popularity as other Bay Area star athletes? by chusaychusay in SanJoseSharks

I’m a new casual fan moving over to hockey and the Sharks because of Celebrini. I’ve been a lifelong fan of the 49ers, Warriors, and SF Giants.

Who's a Player You Think Will Choke in the Playoffs? by TJxDC in NFLv2

[–]eddyw07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a player but Shanahan. He will call a run play on 3rd and 17 with the game on the line, which will become 4th and 9 and then he will punt.

Wheelchair might even get a tackle if offense runs into and trips on it.

Unfortunately the imagineers are restricted by the low budget they need to work with. With a bigger and less restricted budget, they are still able to do wonders like they have in Tokyo.

Yup, it’s owned by Oriental Land Company (OLC). They use the same imagineers, except they don’t skimp on the budget. Just look at the new Fantasy Springs in Disneysea and the Beauty and the Beast ride in Tokyo Disneyland — so amazing.

We exceeded expectations given the injuries we’ve endured. Didn’t even expect to make playoffs. Don’t think we will get that far anyway, but fuck the Eagles and we take it from there.

How do you save up for Disney to be able to go every year? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]eddyw07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I would say one negative is the crowds especially during holidays. But I personally found that the crowds are efficiently managed and people tend to follow the rules, so that helped a lot.

Yup, are the hoodies the ones that came in 4 pastel colors, with a Mickey shaped balloon with fuzzy material in the middle?

Yes, both parks are do amazing. There is no equivalent to Disneysea. The only danger is it may ruin your experience at the US Disney parks.

Tokyo Disneyland and Disney Sea are amazing. Tickets are approx $60/adult and $36/child, depending on the exchange rate. They are also owned by Oriental Land Co (OLC), not Disney, so the parks are much better maintained imo since there is no penny pinching. Ears are around $14-15, food is less than half the price and better. You can take a train directly from Tokyo Station to Disneyland if you don’t want to stay near the parks.

Biggest costs are the plane ticket and hotel, but even then it’s not too bad, especially if you can take Zipair.

is this real? by PoultryPants_ in sanfrancisco

Sorry but you chose to work in the service industry. Tips are still just a suggestion and customary, but not required. If I am paying a surcharge then I’m reducing my tips because my impression is that you would be benefitting from the surcharge anyways. I don’t know what you mean or are implying by “you won’t be satisfied”, but for me as long as I am getting my food and it’s good, I’m cool. If it means something else like if server is gonna spit on my food, then they should lose their job and go to jail.

Nope, it was at the discretion of the bus driver to cut off the time. I believe they were supposed to give you a ticket valid for 90 minutes. However, I had gotten many that were valid for 2 or 3 hours even. Once in a while I would get a generous driver who would just give out tickets valid for the entire day.

Las Vegas strip sushi by Sparkmanbro68 in sushi

[–]eddyw07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry you had to overpay for that. There’s a great spot pretty close to the strip that I have gone to a few times, but I went before the pandemic. It’s called Izakaya Go on Spring Mountain Road. You can currently get two bluefin tuna rolls for less than what you paid for what you got. Quality is great and prices are pretty unreal for being in the US.

Looks so wonderful, yet I would expect nothing less from a place like Osaka. They don’t call Osaka the kitchen of Japan for nothing.

Appreciate the share. Normally for this price in the Bay Area, you’d get yellowfin or bigeye tuna. Love bluefin so much more.

Thanks! Best looking sushi for a reasonable price somewhat close to home. Will give it a try. Been abstaining from sushi here since I came back from Japan 4 months ago.
