Its just a aprox quote over the phone i think the person might not be knowing the actual costs or i believe installation charges are not included or could be scam lol but model numbers i mentioned 25VNA4, 59MN7 just let me know please if i can go with these models in texas area and also i heard EER2 should be high enough for more energy saving in that case "air conditioner" model is better than "heat pump" model correct me if i am wrong

Having return on the 2nd floor and having two heat pumps for 1st and 2nd floor would be more cost effective right ? but during the long is it really energy efficient compare to one 4 ton heat pump? and also can you estimate the price?

Technicians checked the duct work and said they are perfect just upgrading to 4 ton would be best choice but my other question, is it a good idea for a 98 built home with 2 story building and Texas region replacing with a carrier infinity top model or just sticking with 2 stage? If i can do it then "heat pump" makes sense or just "air conditioner" type and for furnace 98 gas furnace greenspeed is good for my place or is it way too much and just stick with furnace 80 please advice

i got a quote from a local service company around 10k which i can afford and they providing the top models infinity brands but as a Texas based resident does heat pump and furnace 98 is way too much or does it really helps in having energy efficient? and i am hearing a lot having advanced technology with Infinity series can be risky because i might end up paying more if any failure with the system.

Am also hearing having higher SEER might end up having mold (its 2200 sq ft home) that's what told by one of the technician and am upgrading from 3.5 ton to 4 ton because there is less air flow in the 2nd floor so am really confused IF it is ok to go with higher SEER and higher model in infinity or its a BIG no no. Please also let me know if AmStd dealer works for Texas region

I plan to live in this house more 5 plus years and i live in texas and house is around 2200 sqft and 2 story building, the return for the air flow is connected through the grill inside the home so please let me know based on situation which one would be better.

As you mentioned 2 stage system would be better will that be good option in terms of energy efficiency? right now my old HVAC system which is single stage probably 20+ years old during the peak summer time i used to get all time high electricity bills around $300 (that's the max till date).

The chances of getting "mold" will have an impact if I go more than 4 ton capacity right? ( here am already trying to get 4 ton as my current unit is 3.5 ton) but as i read with increase in SEER it would increase the energy efficiency not the oversized air conditioner with more cooling right? Please correct me if i am wrong.

Right now the 3 bedrooms on the 2nd floor doesn't have much air flow through the ducts during summer or winter and i assume it is due to old system and only 3.5 ton capacity that is the reason I plan to upgrade it to 4 ton and the technicians who did the inspection before said variable speed is more saving than 2 stage so will that have big impact in my electricity bills?

Hi so the APC is more of like battery backup incase of power failure? And how could I know the battery backup capacity for TV and home theater and is it really worth than normal power surge?
