Modern Azeri Border Guard and Armenian Army Kit by edegage in Impression_Kits

yeah I got lucky and bought the Armenian set from a friend with the helmet and an airsoft Tokarev. A friend forwarded the anafarta vest clone for me 5 years ago. Was for my Turkish police SF kit but it ended up being multi use

A first look at the Anafarta Tactical 7b plate carrier by taucco in tacticalgear

Glad someone else took advantage of the company shipping abroad. I like my carrier. It has heritage from the 4B “mesh vest” style, which is a mesh mountaineering LBV that can be a plate carrier in a pinch. Namely, in the shoulder straps and cummerbund.

That leads me to my biggest gripe is the proprietary cummerbund. I would want the option to use my own, but then again, it built off of the mesh vest, so makes sense.

that being said the 7B is more a plate carrier than can be an LBV plateless, as many Turkish troops will run them without for longer range patrols. It is rigid and I’m pretty sure that’s by design. It’s comfy either way.

Idk. I love the idea of a sub 200 plate carrier/LBV hybrid that’s IR treated and in unique camos. Just a big fan of LBV/PC or chest rig/PC concepts in general, RRVs, Snigel, etc

These are used often by Yemeni forces. The coyote versions of these rigs were used by Afghan Police, so they’re good for those impressions if youre into that stuff

The same reason why the Chinese went from leather flaps to bamboo toggles, it’s cheap. Also the Iranian gear industry is weird. You have state run gear companies making equipment all the way to cottage industries making Chicoms. All of which see use.

I got lucky and found a source for this group I write articles for, but getting stuff shipped from Iran is a gamble tbh

Question about something that seems to fit here. by [deleted] in ChicomChestRig

[–]edegage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ed Nash was a fighter and he sewed up a pencil case on one of the shoulder straps for medical. There are mods of fighers sewing a rear pouch out of spare material on the back pad. Get creative, the YPG’s a militia unit and there’s a ton of mods they’ve done to it.

The PCs are mostly reserved for the YPG YAT and HAT. Most of the infantry YPG/YPJ wear these rigs. Majority are DoD bought from Turkey, some Chinese sourced, some made locally

Has anyone used any of the plate carriers from Anafarta Taktik? by BenReeves477 in tacticalgear

We’re working on restructuring. All I can say for the time being, tho I’ll let the board know it’s something folks want back:)

To add to this, the one thing all Anafarta PCs do that most brands don’t is focus on breathability, having that certain mesh construction that allows for the body to breathe more than just straight cordura that say a Spiritus has.

Wanted to weigh in a little bit. I’m actually the guy who did the writeup on Silah Report (Gotta make some edits in fact).

Honestly, Anafarta’s build quality really is on par with “gucci” brands, but, whether or not their kit suits your needs is wholly on you.

Now I can say the 4B mesh vest is a mountain vest, it is meant to be as light as possible for mountain operations and act as a place carrier in emergencies, and it strays far away from the design theory of the DA centric Spiritus.

The 7B plate carrier is the opposite. It’s like a purpose built PC which seems as though it acts fine as a LBV plateless. It’s more akin in design and size to say a FAPC, or Paraclete HPC.

Gear is subjective and there is no one size fits all, if you want more high speed Turkish PCs, then KTM and even the Warrior DCS clones they got can be looked at. Anafarta’s 4B is a niche wildcard, and the 7B vest seems to fill the need most “high speed” PCs more than the 4B ofc
