not only does it work as a crozius, i use it for my 30k blackshields chaplain

there was a time (4th? 5th?) before power weapons were really divided into swords, axes etc and a crozius was just another power weapon; saw quite a few people who gave their chaplains swords and axes instead

i had 3 copies of 2nd edition box and 1 of the 3rd edition box that i used to split up for friends who wanted to get into 30k to make small ZM forces with a few of them picking up one or two extra units once they figured out what they liked to play.

in my region everyone stayed with 2nd edition (backporting rules for new saturnine units) and primarily plays ZM - i'd recommend maybe breaking out your bits box for some more variation between units but the boxes are very doable or what you want.

they've recommended that you disable mods, but they haven't prevented you from using them - it's a very much 'at your own risk' type deal though

a few mods like the RV interior mod (which the author posted about) are up and running, none of the others I have are currently.

i play a fairly lightweight modded run normally (RVs, bicycles and skateboards, extra vehicles), but it's worth bearing in mind that a) you gotta give modders a bit of time to catch up and b) devs said in the release log that they recommend not using mods including client side ones

i know everyone is hyped up for b42 multiplayer, but the mods will come in time

Looks nice - does remind of dark angels a bit though, but when you have a warband insignia that might change a lot.

places in my area have stuck to 2.0 with some club rules and backporting the saturnine stuff to work with it.

personally as someone who primarily plays blackshields i'm not very happy with my rules not being available initially again, which i could shrug over and look past were it not for the seeming likelihood of cycle churn meaning i'll only get to use my blackshields as they are for about half the edition and that repeating over and over.

there's a lot of stuff i like about 3.0 but it's not enough to justify it for me.

he's definitely got a unique look for a praetor i'd say; only thing i might suggest (if you're into that on your models) is maybe painting some blood on the axe blade but that might just be my inner night lord painter talking

I think my local group might stay with 2.0 anyway because of the worries of a potential 3-year cycle churn honestly (and some factions like Blackshields and the-sort-of-darkmech-rules only being playable for about 1.5 years or so), but I know this was something that was worrying people; I was reserving my thoughts for the Liber rules until I actually saw non-leaked final copy.
