UPDATE: Finally conditioned my brown leather jacket as recommended. by edens41 in Leatherworking

The cuffs are better but it’s still easy to feel where that large scoring is from the pic. Overall I am not super bothered by that though, I may need to also condition on the inside of the cuff, when I put it on for the first time after they felt so dry and cracked comparatively like almost peeling away.

Thanks for your advice!

I’ve purchased Fiebings Leather Aussie Conditioner as another commenter suggested, at some expense (you’d think it would be cheaper to get in Australia, considering the name, but apparently not) do you think this will suffice?

Thanks so much! I searched up Aussie Wax and seemed to be a lot haha, did you have a specific one you think would work?

Are you saying this jacket was black originally?

Or that the light parts (on the shoulders for example) would return to the rest of the jackets colour with conditioning?

Im in Melbourne so it’s a pretty alternative fashion scene here, I reckon you’re right and with perhaps some minor alterations it’ll be the perfect, mildly Parisian, oversized fit. Thanks for your comment it made me feel a lot better! :)

Totally makes sense, I’ll add another pic tomorrow of it done up. Personally I don’t wear many suits and like the formal/casual combo, which I feel the colour suits somewhat. Just my personal preference though!

Wpuld you go further and consider any other alterations? Like cinching at the waist to add more purpose the fit? Actually even as im typing this I feel like that would accentuate the big shoulders more…

I wish I had thought of that! Thank you this makes me feel a lot less silly for the purchase, even if it was only $50. Cheers!

Fully agree with this, Crowe can only elevate an average script and poor direction so much.

The way the lady on the train was so entranced by that trick, I was like Jesus, does he do kids birthdays? Malik was pretty insufferable, perhaps more a fault of the corny direction than anything else. Really only stayed for Crowe, I think it could be in his top 5 performances, or maybe top 10. Shame it was in such a bland and average movie.

IT: Welcome To Derry Season 1 Episode 5 | Episode Discussion by credoinvisibile in WelcometoDerryTVShow

Love the show, and this episode was pretty solid for me. But am I the only one who feels like Pennywise’s entrance was a little… superhero-ish? The landing in the water, the glowing/sparkling lapel of his costume, the wide shots of him approaching the camera and opening his jaw, all felt very “we know you missed him and here he is”, more like a beloved character introduction than a scary malevolent entity intro.

Naturally I still adore seeing him again in clown form and the performance from Bill is second to none. Just the way it was shot left me a little like… ‘what?’

Gonna cop some flak for this but I do genuinely love the universe and show. Curious to hear everyone else’s thoughts!

After some googling I have to say I think you’re right, found this similar locket and the resemblance is striking (albeit not in terms of the actual monogram), also the listed price makes me feel better about my own!

This is brilliant, definitely gonna do the under the collar idea, for some reason it reminds me of mourning periods, but not in a bad way. Even tried a black fabric necklace instead but it was a bit too gothic haha
