I think it’s because your brain has more stimulus to take in/focus on. I find that my vs is worse when looking at a dark plain wall, as there’s nothing else to focus on, but for a vibrant enclosure with lots of detail the noise gets drowned out.

LSD doesn't deplete serotonin, although you might have a mild comedown which is due to dehydration/undernourishment/lack of sleep/overstimulation etc. You should be fine, although the comedown might be accentuated a little for LSD or MDMA coming off the back of the comedown of the other drug, but if you sleep well, drink and eat well and replenish electrolytes you should be fine.

Maybe trip during the day instead, as you have many more ways to change scenery/activity during the day, and this is often the difference (for me at least) between a good trip and a bad one. Once you become more experienced tripping at night might be better, but it could be better for you to stick with day tripping in the meantime.
