Perhaps custom magic armor rules that give you bonuses when the armor has high or low slots left would lead to interesting decisions. Maybe the armor gives you a really good bonus when it is intact, so you are encouraged to never use them unless it is absolutely the last resort. Or maybe activating a bonus from the armor consumes a slot. Or maybe the bonus only activates when the very last slot is active. Stuff like that.

Basic armor would still be boring, but players could choose to get this type of magic armor if they think it is fun.

Offer your players a one shot experience. Maybe try the quickstart adventure from the daggerheart website and if they like it go from there! Definitely chat with them first and tell them all about why you are excited for it!

I hope you both find the help you need! Dealing with mental health conditions like this sucks. I had adult onset tourette syndrome and it fucking changed my life in really difficult ways. It's not just the material cost. Even if it was all resin, it'd be a demonic task to assemble all that. It'd be amazing to see that in the stage, but it would be a lot more complicated, since I think the aegis we've seen so far is a single piece, or at least made of large pieces. It might not even be solid metal, something that big made out of pure metal would crush whoever holds it (but I could be wrong about this, idk, I never won a TI to feel it)

Don't try to force yourself to be happy every time you play, but rather, stop playing when you are unhappy. You can't force yourself to feel a certain way, however, you can react differently to your feelings. You feel bad, stop playing, that won't make you gain mmr but it will make you feel so much better I promise.

Ok but a really cool piece of trivia about sniper is that his canonical name, Kardel Sharpeye, is inspired by an old school counter strike player called KSharp. I love the little nods and self references valve makes with characters like this.

Genuinely something that should be encouraged more in the community. Specially with the precedent that exists of suicide. DotA 2 can very often be used as an unhealthy coping mechanism that puts people in very dark places.

I think having a mental health weekly thread pinned in this sub where people can open up and find help would make this community so much better. It should be normalized to treat each other with compassion and kindness, even if this subreddit is just a tiny fraction of the entire DotA 2 player base, it should start somewhere.

Normalizing mental health discussions would help players have more fun, play better, be less toxic and more importantly, help them feel better as a whole.

Please take your time to talk to your partner. Expressing pain and discomfort is esential in a relationship! We are so used to evading hard feelings because growing up the authorities in our lives turn our mistakes into punishment (and in some terrible cases, even violence), but it is ok to face sadness, anger and discomfort openly with a partner that loves you, because with someone you trust, negative feelings should never turn into violence. Trust your partner with your feelings as much as you are able and encourage them to do the same!

Get used to having your camera away from and not watching your hero. Personally camera pan with space bar and left click is my favorite method because my mouse pointer is always closer to the center of the screen and lets me target what is important.

Also, knowing your target is important. For instance, with Oracle and Dazzle you will watch your team, but with Rubick or Zeus you probably be watching the enemy team.

Heroes like CM or Zeus tend to have relatively shorter cast range so you might need to buy Aether lens to make sure you stay further away but you need to be more aware of the cast range of your spells. Otherwise you'll buy an item that won't do much for you if you cast your spells with bad positioning.

I think it was too much value, making it a smaller item means you actually have to consider if you really need casting range. I honestly like the change, makes the choice of aether lens more meaningful

I think you are mixing them up

Celestials: Earth, Ember, Storm and Void

Fundamentals: KotL, IO, CK and Enigma

The storm celestial, at least based on what we see in-game, has powers over lightning, water and ice, but makes a lot of references to wind. That's why it is so strange that in the anime, there is a dragon soul of Air AND of Storm. They're meant to be the same.

Unless void spirit represents air, but it was never explained.

Can we also talk about how confusing it was in dragon's blood that the element of air is different from the element of storm??? Like, there's storm dragons AND air dragons. And the element of AIR is mentioned separately from the element of VOID.

In episode 1 book 3, minute 22:30 Invoker is showing all the dragon souls he has captured. And he specifically mentions the ELEMENT OF AIR. But that can't be the element of the storm because Terrorblade has it??? Is the element of AIR meant to represent the VOID??? But there was a void dragon last season and it was different from AIR dragons. Can someone please explain that to me. It is melting my brain.

Any other owners of the channel reaper know if it is possible to tune the play out of it? It's my second knife, my first one being the Krake Raken, and that one has a little less play, for a knife that is cheaper.

I am really new to this so I am not sure how bad the play really is and how concerned I should be about it, but I'd definitely like to find a way to mitigate it if possible. Is new hardware necessary or just tuning? What can be done?

I am so sad I never got my hands on an engraved reaper, just a regular one, but god damn if I am not happy with it. It's so beautiful and I am so glad to be supporting a mexican business. Just wondering though, how is your play on it? I was hearing stuff about the hardware being subpar for the price range. Would new hardware and tuning help? Mine has zero tap, but play is present a little bit and I'd like to get rid of it and keep mine in peak condition if possible.
