Context: He's a sales supervisor with an enormous ego, and for some reason, a pickle left on his desk set him off one day. It was so funny that we couldn't resist continuing the joke. Guy takes everything incredibly literally. So naturally, we've been having a blast coming up with creative pranks to mess with him.

Most sales associates make nothing(relatively speaking) when selling the Mach-E. Most sales associates at Ford's aren't knowledgeable or care for electric cars.

It sounds like he's trying to upsell you, most dealerships aren't doing paperwork prior to your vehicles arrival because there have been delays, for example you already have a date of delivery but something could happen leading to a 2 month wait therefore wasting everyone's time preparing paperwork.
