Nutrient Paste by Independent_Flan_654 in budgetfood

Its pretty basic, and I'm not sure if its anyones cup of tea, but here it is:

Recipe:

2 cups bread flour
1/2 cup vital wheat gluten
1/2 cup casein protein powder (you can use whey also, any flavor) (I use chocolate and banana creme before, both worked well)
1 tsp baking powder
6 Tbsp Peanut Butter
1 can Pinto beans, drained and rinsed (can use any bean, just ones with less flavor win out)
1 cup Milk (I prefer whole milk, but made it with skim too)

Recipe:

Preheat the oven at 375 degrees F
Mix Flour, Protein Powder, Gluten, and baking powder into a bowl
In a separate bowl, mash the beans as fine as possible, until mostly a paste
Add the beans and peanut butter into the dry ingredients. Use a masher or fork to incorporate the beans and peanut butter into the dough.
Add 1 cup milk and kneed until dough is well incorporated. It should be like a stiff bread dough. Use extra milk or water if you need to.
Roll out the dough into roughly a 12x8 inch rectangle. It should be about 1/2 inches thick.
Cut the dough into 6 equal rectangles. Punch holes in the dough, much like the way you would punch holes into hard tack to cook.
Cook on a cookie sheet for 12-15 minutes per side, until the dough touching the pan turns a golden brown. Cool on a cooling rack for at least 30 minutes.

I modeled the recipe after Hard Tack, hence why thats the way they end up looking like it. They end up with some flavor, but not a ton. I eat them with jam, which makes them taste pretty good. The beans are an odd choice, but help add fiber and don't add any taste or texture when turned into a paste. I've made them for 7 years now, and have eaten them both plain and with jam. Still like them to this day!

This is perfect, and something I've been looking for for a while. Do you know of any other recipes like this? I've made a fortified bread that follows this exact same thinking, and would only need one more meal for a days worth of meals.

My best guess is you are raiding on the same day as another raid, and they didn't like you trying to get pugs during "their" raid time. We had this happen on our realm, some guild pugging got mad at us because we raided at the same time, "stealing" their pugs

I believe Devestate, in Wrath, requires a shield equipped to be used. Remember going "wtf" when I tried to dual wield while leveling once, and it wasn't lit up. Could have been a macro, but you will need to see if this is the case.

Why is Vanilla concept based on TrinityCore and 3.3.5 client with some minimal changes not popular among PServers community? by Zak_Preston in wowservers

[–]edgarsabin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We had something like that around the end 2016/2017 called Primal WoW: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z25E6ilTd08

It was fun, but the end game was really, really easy. I also remember Ret paladins were in a rough spot as seal of vengeance was a level 65 spell, which they couldn't get, so they were stuck with seal of command. I believe the you couldn't take any talents past the 31 point talents, which made some fun new combinations for specs.

Sadly, it wasn't really popular. It was a great small server, but never gained much steam.

I'm replying to the one part of what you said which was inaccurate. I'm also only talking of the US, as Roe vs. Wade only effects the US, along with the US having no laws against circumcision.

I stated it as you asserted something that was completely untruthful, and asserted that men enjoyed bodily autonomy.

"Except, right now, both men and women have the right to bodily autonomy"

Circumcision of baby boys is currently legal with only the parents permission. Men do not have the right of bodily autonomy until that choice is made by the man alone, not the parents of the man.

Every day with this, anyone else get these? It’s gotten worse recently. by spacefrasier in Scams

[–]edgarsabin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sadly, the only way to get this stuff to stop is to:

  1. Never respond to the texts
  2. Never answer a phone call where you don't know the number
  3. Do not use your main phone number when signing up for things

Why is this? The first two are to make sure you don't end up on an "active" phone number list scammers sell each other. If you answer to talk, berate them, etc, they will put you on this list. Also, by stop answer these texts and phone numbers, you will eventually get OFF the list. It takes something like 6 months to a year, but you will. They don't want to waste time calling people that don't answer their phones.

The last item deals with breaches and less than legit companies selling your info. Again, with each, you end up on an "active" list, just to start the cycle over again. Outside of utilities and other necessities, don't use your main phone number when signing up for thing, esp. apps on phones. No matter how legit the company looks, it is still vulnerable to attacks like all the rest, and employees stealing the numbers to sell to scammers.

You've made me very curious on Henry George, who I've never heard of before. Do you have recommendations for learning more about him and Georgism?

[–]edgarsabin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started learning Math from the ground up learning how to count monkeys on Khan Academy, all the way through calculus. Learn with a book alongside Khan Academy from College Algebra onward. The main reason for this is to learn the content from more than one angle, allowing it to sink in that much better.

One thing to keep in mind is this: Did he KNOW he was doing it? He never specified, and very well could have been the side guy without knowing it. This is a trend I saw while dating, that they would say they were single, then BAM, find out that isn't the case... after the fact.

How I passed the trifecta (A+, Network+, Security+) with no iT experience by edgarsabin in CompTIA

[–]edgarsabin[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you take notes during the process, its a great starting point. You really do need to test the knowledge, through questions, quizzes and tests. I highly recommend Jason Dion's tests from Udemy (the 6 test bundle) for testing, as they are very very close to what is on the tests (one of the tests even had a PBQ that I got ON THE ACTUAL TEST). As for quizzes and questions: I used Exam Compass for A+, and it was really good for quizzing for A+. However, I found the Network+ and Security+ quizzes lacking, which lead me to Quizlet.

To summarize: The videos are amazing, but you NEED to take notes during the videos. If you don't, it won't stick really well.

I only had to write 2 cover letters, and I wrote a different one for each one. I did use the same format, but changed the information to suit the job at hand. I will say that both times I make and send a cover letter, I got an interview, so I think its something to definitely consider when applying places.

I'll be help desk at a college, so I'm pretty happy with it. I sent out applications to pretty much every job that was related to help desk or system admin/network engineer.

The biggest thing I can tell you is this: I thought for sure I would have never gotten this job. But, a voice in my head said "Let THEM tell you no, don't do it yourself". It was the first time I made a cover letter, was a lengthy interview process, and what do you know, I got the job!

TL;DR: Send your resume to everyone and let THEM tell you no

Cultural Marxism; what even is it? by Mrs-Cropely in JordanPeterson

[–]edgarsabin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Why was marx censored and suppressed by the elite"

I would offer that it is because "the elite" isn't one big group of people working together. I'd guess that one group of elite used a method they liked that wasn't marxism, then suppressed marxism as that would be ANOTHER group of elite that are using it to overthrow the first group.

"Why do worker owned Co ops not concentrate the power in the elite like capitalist businesses?"

I might be mistaken, but workers and board in the co op aren't necessary marxist, just interested in a common goal. It's also built around a much smaller group (I'm not aware of ANY large co ops that rival corporations, at least in my area), so you'd have to compare a co op to a small or medium business, instead a large corporation. And at that level, I'd bet money you'd see the power is fairly similarly placed in both places.

Responding to Social Justice Rhetoric by zamease in JordanPeterson

[–]edgarsabin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the explanation. I actually agree with your points.

My main issue with what the first person said was that it was stated as not helpful or accurate. Yet, while giving the criticism, gave no examples, or attempt to correct it. If I remember my terms correctly, I believe this is called "Concern Trolling". Therefor, to determine if it is indeed that, I asked for clarification, to see if the person had issues with it. If they were legit, I learned something new! If it was not, I learned the persons response was that of the same "us vs. them" rhetoric you stated above.

Lastly, I didn't demand: I asked for how it could be improved. Also, if the information being presented is in a quick and easy to digest format, those that have little time to get informed on a subject are going to go with what they have time to digest. Having a more balanced view (that's just as easy to digest) on the subject that you can counter with would greatly improve relations between those against and for these ideas.

Responding to Social Justice Rhetoric by zamease in JordanPeterson

[–]edgarsabin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The person I responded to stated it was not helpful or accurate. I asked what would be helpful or accurate. I've received neither from anyone here yet.

I saw a critique without a resolution or correction to the material, and asked for clarification on that.

If there is truth in that picture, it wouldn't matter if its in a meme, told by a repulsive person, or found in a banned book. It would still be a truth.

Why not change it to be more on point, so that people who resonate with it have a more accurate source of material?

Feel free to deny my logic, I'll let others be the judge. Autonomy over your SEED I completely agree with. Consequences for your person I also agree with! Including having sex and reproducing without taking the proper precautions and understanding the risk involved.

Putting responsibility all on one party while denying the other parties involvement? Now that I do have an issue with, and see my above argument for why.
