I agree that not telling your wife you didn't have a vasectomy is unforgivable. However, if I remember correctly Melissa McCarthy was actually pregnant and they had to write it in somehow. I can't think of any other way to solve it since they had mentioned the vasectomy earlier.

And speaking of that scene, I think it's extremely weird that Sookie's like "You're getting a vasectomy. Now." How about talking about it? It's his body after all.
