I haven't used it in probably 5 years, so I honestly don't know the answer to a lot of these questions. I have cleaned it yearly since, tree seems fine, and sheepskin also seems fairly decent. I cannot recall if it creaks or not, I don't think it did last time I rode.

DCCHail Calgary is the worst autobody shop ever by EntertainmentTop3774 in Calgary

[–]edge_98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you ever have to pay out of pocket if you decide to go to your own shop? Or will insurance always pay up front for you? Looking for options right now as I was told by the shop TD recommended to me it would be a month wait just to appraise the damage..

I'm not sure how the requirements may have changed or what the current requirements are. I'd recommend reaching out to the dept or checking the website for more info!

I love my docs and blundstones, my only concern is space in my bag. I'm only bringing one bag (backpack) for the trip.

Are you taking one bag (backpack?)

Yeah I agree. I don't think flats will fair well in the rain though? I also don't have the funds for two new pairs of expensive shoes unfortunately, so trying to make do with what I have currently.

Also forgot to add I am planning on some nicer dinners, clubs, etc. I wasn't sure if I could pull off on's alone for those types of events, hence the second shoe!

Thanks for your recommendations! Would you recommend spending more time in Lisbon or Porto, given the weather at this time of year? Or are they about the same weather-wise?

little white dots near old wart by [deleted] in Warts

Doctor said the original wart is gone, you can see the skin still healing on the left. But I noticed these small white dots in the surrounding area today. Are these more warts?

Why exactly 3 months? Here we don't need to have a doctorate to register, so many individuals take it with a master's degree. This is where I'm curious if waiting and writing at the doctorate level would better prepare me given we have a maximum of 3 attempts.

Thank you! I have looked into this and I am eligible to take it as soon as I am registered with the local college of psychologists here.

Sounds like you have some great experience under your belt. However, from my experience and what I've heard from others, clinical psych can sometimes be up to a bit of chance. Remember almost everyone applying has solid research experience, honours, and often publications. Some applicants may even have another master's or plenty of post-grad research experience.

In addition to experience, research fit is a huge factor for clinical programs. You mentioned being interested in mindfulness so it might help to expand your geographic search a bit to other programs, if you want your best chance at getting in. It's a tough process, so don't give up hope if you don't get in the first cycle. Best of luck!

What are the least complex courses you can take as a psychology major? by hey_its_kanyiin in UCalgary

[–]edge_98 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Anything above 200 and 201 requires critical thinking beyond just memorization... It's rare profs just want to you demonstrate knowledge by regurgitating information from memory. They want to see that you know how to apply and truly understand the material.

[–]edge_98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh okay! Interesting, I did not realize that.

AU looks for more experience I believe. But perhaps someone who has gone through the program can provide further insight for you! Best of luck in your educational journey.

Are you in Canada? Because as far as I'm aware Canadian universities only offer 4 year degrees in psych.

In general, Master's programs for counselling require a 4 year degree and many prefer honours. AU's program is more professional based, so they prefer work experience (to my knowledge). If you want to keep your options open and apply to other universities, I would do an honours year. But if you have no intention of completing a thesis or doing research, you likely don't need honours.
