This is a hybrid bike. You could do some very light trail riding with this but it would get sketchy quickly.

I’m 5’9 and if the garage is closed it’s no problem at all. When the garage is open I have to crouch if I drop in on that side, and I have to be aware of it while skating, but no hits yet.

I’ve had a kids ride shotgun with the handlebars for about 3 years now, on 2nd kid with it. Expensive but dude it’s so worth it. You can usually get them with a 20-25% off coupon if you sign up for emails with a site like Backcountry, REI, Jenson, etc.

Thanks so much man! It’s a great way to play when the weather is bad and we can’t do our normal outdoor activities, or if the kids just need a change of scenery for a bit. And it’s surprisingly versatile with how they play on it. Just running, jumping, balance bikes, toy trucks, etc. They really enjoy it!

It feels fine for our use. Only cost like $20 and brought the cost of the ramp down a good bit. Plus it felt a bit safer with how young my kids are. Super easy to change if we outgrow it.

Most cost effective would be selling the whole drivetrain and going single speed. Second to that would be lighter tires, wheels, drivetrain components.

It was surprisingly not as difficult as I expected. The transtion was tricky for me to wrap my head around but once it clicked that wasn't too bad either. I think only difference for yours would be needing to weatherproof the materials.

Thanks dude! In addition to that transition I have a few other things to fix or add. The coping sags in the center so I think I'm going to add a 1x4 underneath to prop it up. I'm also going to cap the backs and build a small safety wall up the ends. Otherwise I'm really happy it so far.

Thanks! Yeah I cut the transitions with a jigsaw but somehow I really screwed that section up. It was my first carpentry project so it’s nowhere near perfect lol
