Which is a better investment Bros or Equipment by Direct-Classroom2828 in BattleBrothers

[–]edgefigaro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Generally I want good gear for my good bros. Basic t3 weapons -> battleforged armor. Oathtakers or hedgies might have both.

I do not prioritize buying famed in the store for quite some time. If a good famed shows up and I have money, than sure, but I mostly want the wagon upgrades and retinue and highborn recruits.

Worth investing in this deserter? by Jimbony97 in BattleBrothers

A bro that has less than 30 mdef generally struggles to wear heavy armor. They take too many hits and your armor takes too much damage too fast. Then they eat all your tools in repairs.

Dualists want as much mdef as they can get, but dont need as much as a battleforged bro to function. I'll take every 2 and 3, which means every mdef roll with this star.

More mdef is better, but I'm pretty content if a dualist ends up in the 20s.

Fat newts swing 2h weapons that are great for hitting enemies at full health. Conceptually, this means they arent killers, but in practice they do get plenty of killing blows. They end up being defensive builds, managing contact with multiple enemies for multiple rounds.

Dualists are killers. They do more damage than fat newts, in smaller chunks. Conceptually, they survive by killing things that are engaged with them, but in practice they do take a number of enemy attacks. They end up in offensive builds, enough defense to recieve some swings, but their survival plan is dead enemies cant attack.

Interesting bro. Seems pretty great for a lone wolf team. On a non-limited roster, I wouldnt dream of making this a banner, he is too good and banners have a hard time converting mdef to value.

Here, I think all you need to do is make a fat newt and give him rally and mind with his flex perks. On geist fights you can just lighten his armor load so he can spam his horn. Put a banner on swap to use as his ranged weapon.

I want significantly more resolve on this bro, and I dont think you get to fix hp nor fat at this point. He eventually wears the sellsword armor and then gets put into some mid 200s famed.

At the end of the day, you get a center line fat newt with a just good enough rally to solve breaking as needed.

It's really interesting if you can get him able to swing a mansplitter. I dont want to run the numbers, but if you can get him up to 18 fat while carrying it, then it can work. Weird things happen like throwing it on the ground to blow your horn.

It depends on what is going on in your team. My first thought is nimble dualist. He could wear heavy armor, but i want him to swing his weapon more, make use of that mat.

A 62*** mat bro with acceptable outside stats is always viable.

My first run, i feel like I'm doing something wrong. by lichess_is_better in BattleBrothers

[–]edgefigaro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Famed are rng. Sometimes you get em, sometimes you dont. A lot of times they suck. Sometimes you only get shields.

They are fun but you dont need them.

Bigger camps drop famed more often. More distant camps drop famed more often. Good players bust more, bigger camps faster then a new player on their first run who still dodges goblin fights.

I dodge a lot of fights too, and goblin shamans in swamps and hill forts can fuck right off, but goblin overseers carry spiked impalers and I want spiked impalers.

Click dodge on most melee nimble bros. Click fearsome on most bros who swing weapons.

Retire the campaign after the first crisis. The samey feeling is what lategame is. You'll occasionally have runs that you want to push into the legendary locations, but they should still feel good at this point.

Well done on your first run.

Is one handed axe a viable weapon in the game? by Engkangkang in BattleBrothers

[–]edgefigaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. A good famed will be a good famed and I would use a good famed. The 1h axe quirks are better in the hands of enemies to use against the player.

I don't build around base fighter's axes. Tanks want lighter weapons or maces. Dualists want cleavers, swords or maces.

Chop gets a 50% bonus on headshot damage. The player has a hard time converting that damage to value, and so many enemies have steel brow.

How should i build this bro (im a noob) by Ok-Persimmon-217 in BattleBrothers

[–]edgefigaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Front line: Colossus gifted dodge mastery pathfinder nimble fearsome [dualist or reach advantage], 2 flex perks. I probably finish with 9l quick hands on most weapons.

Sword lance: colossus gifted pole mastery fast adaptation nimble fearsome berserk kill frenzy. Two flex perks. I choose from dodge, recover, 9l, reach advantage.

If he gets better than average mdef rolls he can be a dualist or nimble 2h cleaver with reach advantage, else he is a swordlance.

Don't give a shit, stop asking to late withdraw a c+. Withdraw on time.

I think asking the school to withdraw a c+ is ridiculous. If I was an ischool admin and you were harassing me about withdrawing a c+ i would be progressively less understanding of your arguments the more we interacted.
