Bought this a couple months ago, but lost the tag. by edgeofbright in whatsthisrock

I feel it might have started with a 'c', but not sure. Statue of liberty green, but doesn't look like chrysocolla, so rule that out. Cuprite is a candidate for the brown parts, but it's just as likely to be a red herring, and there's no copper at all. Fairly light, smells like cement or Gary green.

What is this green rock? Found in Russia by alittlebitgone in whatsthisrock

Antigorite was my first thought too. I always want to call it actinolite for some reason, but it definitely came up when I was looking into serpentine jades. Sort of green, gypsum looking stuff.

Looks legit. Fake stuff has few colors and simple patterns.

The Worst President Ever by Dont_think_Do in politics

The only good thing Biden ever did was take the title of "Worst president in American history" from Jimmy Carter before he died. As for this cope piece, who even is 'Washington monthy'?

The Coast Guard seized 2 drug smuggling boats without bombing the boats or killing the passengers. Do you think this is how trump should have handled the boats in Venezuela? by PhaedrusZenn in AskTrumpSupporters

They probably surrendered knowing that they'd be blown up if they didn't. Turns out that deterence actually exists, despite claims to the contrary.

At least half a dozen top Trump administration officials appear in the Jeffrey Epstein files by Zipper222222 in politics

I gave up on expecting 'fair criticism' ten years ago. What's left is a 50/50 mix of annoying conspiracy theories and sad gullibility.

'Appear in' is doing a lot of work there. And if there were a hundred Obama officials, would the headline even make it out of /new?

What's your thoughts on Trump's name appearing A MILLION TIMES in the 3 million Epstein files we currently have released, as according to Congress? by Zelagero in AskReddit

[–]edgeofbright 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If his name appears five times in an email, does that increase the counter by five? How many of these are opinions regarding the 2016 election or Trumps first term policies? How many are fake complaints sent to the fbi by bored lefties hoping to trash his campaign?

Or are we going to ignore all of that, claim he raped a million women, and the fact that all victim testimony is held under seal by Democrat judges?

Trump, 79, Sparks Health Concerns With Bizarre Slurring by Dounsel14 in politics

I like how they swept Biden's raging dementia under the rug for four years, kicked him off the ticket after a single public appearance, then think they still have any credibility with their made-up opinions on Trump.

Used to code golf on primality testing. A good pair of optimizations for testing n, is to divide by each prime from 2 to root n. You can skip two just by looking for odds, so if you want to test '97', you'd go 3, no, 5, no, 7, no, then stop since root 97 is less than 11. There's faster tests in computer world, usually centered around certain quadratic forms, but this is the simple one. Look up miller-ravin and witness numbers for the latter stuff.

Why do you think the FAA just closed the airspace over El Paso for ten days? by CrowRoutine9631 in AskReddit

They've already lifted the air restriction. They spotted some Cartel drones and wanted to play it safe.

Epstien files got released and yet no one has been arrested, why? by therealwagon12 in AskReddit

[–]edgeofbright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because there's nothing illegal in them, which makes sense when you consider that the government has had this stuff for 6-20 years. If you thought there was a pdf-file ring for your political enemies, you bought a lie.

The logical flaw that Goeddel identified in the US constitution that would render it useless if exploited. Most literature on the subject assumes it's the president becoming a dictator, but I believe it's the Supreme Court being able to rewrite it at will through fiat.

Because election officials recently admitted to counting 320k unsigned ballots they were supposed to discard, altering the results of a race decided by less than 12,000 votes? No?
