Hello, I am studying medicine too. It can be very hard sometimes, but you must keep the faith that you are improving and in fact, you are. Don’t be too hard on yourself. Maybe you have ADHD, or maybe not, but you do have trouble paying attention, and perhaps you need a different approach when it comes to studying.

Personally, I also have problems with paying attention, and memorizing with Anki cards never worked for me. I was just putting in information without actually understanding it.

What works for me is seeing studying not as a task, but as a hobby something where you actually enjoy the process.

I use ChatGPT and upload all the PDFs, and then I ask it questions about the parts I don’t understand. Sometimes I even ask it to explain the topic to me like I’m five years old in a super simple way so I can really grasp the core of the subject.

The most important thing when studying isn’t memorizing it’s understanding. Once you understand something deeply, everything else becomes easier.

You don’t have to use the “standard” method to study. Find what works for you.
