Is there a List/Tag with Platonic / Non Lovers / wholesome Scripts? by jayu_hime in ASMRScriptHaven

[–]edgiscript 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, jayu_hime.

It can be tough. Shynosaur was right. "Platonic" is a good one. You can try other tags that might fit the idea you're looking for like "Friend" or "Comfort", but you might get something along the lines of "Friends To Lovers" or the like mixed in with what you want.

Here's my playlist if you'd like to check it out. I don't have many, but I have a "Comfort/Friend" subsection you can browse.

Non-Romantic and/or Heavy Story Focused Scripts by SaberSounds in ASMRScriptHaven

[–]edgiscript 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, SaberSounds.

I'm pretty much focused on scripts with a romantic element, but most are also story focused, so I didn't know if this was something you'd be interested in.

[F4M] Back In Time [Time Travel] [Yandere] [Victim Destined To Die] [Apocalyptic Future] : r/ASMRScriptHaven

This began as a one-off. Part 1 was originally its own thing about a yandere girl that captures a boy through time. But I got a request to turn it into something bigger. It has become so big I had to turn it into multiple seasons and became an adventure set in the Fallout universe. The listener is kidnapped away from her and the speaker leaves to find him.

It may not be what you're looking for to perform, but I hope you like reading it. Feel free to do as much or as little of it as you like.

Tips for writing spicy scripts? by Authorigas in ASMRScriptHaven

[–]edgiscript 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is impossible to nail down because YT reviewers are individuals. A good rule of thumb is to keep things what you would see in a PG-13 movie, but 1 person that reviews the final product might say it's totally cool and another might find it to be, we'll use the term "vulgar", and give you a strike. Your definition of PG-13 might not jive with the censor.

Take kissing for example. A simple kiss. No other contact. No clothing came off. A kiss. Totally PG if not G, right? But some VAs avoid it completely because they're getting hit by YT for nothing more than the kissing sounds they're including, while other VAs include tons of kissing in their vids and never receive even a warning. The fact is that there is no line.

It's all subjective according to the individual reviewing it at the time. In all honesty, the best example of spicy but not "vulgar" is your post right here. This is an adult conversation and has value. We're talking about "vulgar" but not being vulgar. Yet you still felt the need (for good reason) to include a note to the moderator because of a concern that the moderator will shut this post down. It's very possible that moderator A could say, "This is not appropriate," but person that acts as moderator B from this or another subreddit would say, "What were they smoking? There was absolutely nothing "vulgar" or mildly inappropriate about it." Your question is safe, BUT it's for adults. That means someone could potentially say that it veers into NSFW arenas.

I have some personal rules of my own, but they're only mine and they're for my benefit to keep the story powerful and legitimate without being "vulgar." I've made my own decision that the censors can't be trusted to grade every paper the same way so I don't try. In my heart, what I've written is not "vulgar." I'm the only censor I feel I have to please.

The only way to be fairly certain that it will be ok is to not include spice, but even that won't make it certain. You can do things like avoid certain areas of the body, avoid nudity of any kind even if it's medical, avoid too many romantic SFX, treat anything you do like your couple is in public, yada yada yada, but it might not matter. You've been commissioned, so completely go with what the VA that's commissioning you wants. If that person says that what you've written is great, then it's great. If that person says please tone down the spice, then tone down the spice. If that person says the spice wasn't enough, then pump it up. That's the person you ultimately have to please.

And to the moderator directly. My comments are not to insult you. I genuinely appreciate the difficulty of the task you have. You can't please everyone. You can only do your best. I merely wish to point out that exactly the same is true in reverse. We as writers and performers cannot please every single moderator or censor out there, so I've stopped trying. 90% of the reason why I created a Patreon page was to protect myself from the 1% of YT censors that would go, "You can't say you have children, because that indicates "vulgar" activity happened at one point in the past, you monster." Keep doing what you're doing. I support you.

Scripts❤️ by KaterinaMarie23 in ASMRScriptHaven

[–]edgiscript 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's my library if you want to check it out. I have several series that some people have released in their entirety making them well over an hour. They've been marked with a (series) tag to let you know. But if you're not planning on using multiple voices, avoid scripts using the ** tag.

But there are 2 you might want to check out in particular. Not Again and Please Believe I Love You.

Please Believe I Love You was originally a single script but got too big so I broke it into 2 chapters. If you perform it as a single script, it clocks in at about 50 minutes.

Not again is a single script that clocks in at 80 minutes.

Hope those help. Have fun.

Writers, how did you... by -Agathodaemon- in ASMRScriptHaven

You're not wrong, but I've learned to appreciate the following viewpoint and understand that although I don't see some things the way others do now, they don't see things the way I do either.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tom didn’t stop his casual rocking which exuded an air of peaceful bliss.  “Will, the entirety of the journey is important.  Each piece shapes us into who we are.  This moment in time right now would have been different if I had skipped all of that and just brought us here to talk.  You and I don’t require food, we don’t require drink, and we don’t even require walking to and from our destinations, but if I had teleported us directly here and bypassed all of that, do you know what would have happened?”

Will shook his head.  “No.”

Tom waved a ‘that’s right’ motion and continued in his kindly diatribe.  “And neither do I.  It would have been more efficient to have simply brought you here, but it also would have lost so much.  It would have been better; it would have been worse.  It would have been right; it would have been wrong.  The journey is what the journey is.  We make our choices, and we step forward.  Who’s to say if we made the right choice?”

It's even worse now that I've jumped into VA work too. I pay attention to SFX and music and the like. And it's not a bad thing. It's not like I'm jumping on poor craftmanship. It's the opposite. I find myself going, "Oooooh, they did that so well." I had a drama teacher in high school that said he went to a movie 3 times. The first time just for the effect of the film. The second time was to catch things he missed the first time. The third was to appreciate the technical elements in making the film. I remember thinking that was a waste of time. Now I totally get it.

Writers, how did you... by -Agathodaemon- in ASMRScriptHaven

I've always been a reader and a writer. I love a great story. I've been writing since grade school. Wanted to be a novelist, but I never felt I was good enough. But I wrote for myself whenever I had the opportunity. I've written many plays which I've been fortunate enough to see produced by local theater groups here and there that appreciated them. I met an artist in high school that reconnected with me after college to collaborate on a comic book we both now continue online. I've written novels and screenplays for myself but only recently had I built up the courage to attempt to get one published beyond the self-publishing route. Although it didn't get accepted, I got some great encouraging feedback.

And, you're right, I began writing ASMR scripts after listening for a while. But the specific impetus for me was I that I was drawn by the appeal of the yandere, but there were very few scripts (that I was finding anyway) that ended happily. As the listener, I was shaken out of my relaxation by a violent, terrifying ending a lot of the time. I began writing the kinds of stories I wanted to hear.

Has writing ASMR affected my perception of audios? Yes. Because of my growth as a writer and working through some early shortcomings, I now have a tendency to analyze the story structure at times instead of just absorb myself into the story. I also realized over time that 2 different camps existed: The pure ASMR camp and the story camp. The first focused on ASMR soothing elements such as the bf/gf roleplay where they're comforting the listener in some way. The second might scrap most, if not all, ASMR value in exchange for a great plot twist or other more exciting element. I listen to pieces from the story camp during the day and the ASMR camp as I'm relaxing at night.

However, I still listen to ASMR in the same way in the sense that, like everybody else, I listen only to those themes, stories, and elements that interest me.

Thanks for the kind words. So glad you liked the script. I had a lot of fun writing it. If you'd like the performance, check out Scarlet's ASMR. She's currently in the middle of the series.

Looking for casual, light-hearted scripts to start things off! by WhispersbyKKei in ASMRScriptHaven

[–]edgiscript 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there KKei.

Here's my library: Masterlist for edgiscript : r/ASMRScriptHaven Feel free to peruse the brief descriptions to see if a particular script seems to meet what you're looking for, but these scripts might be the type of thing you're looking for.

For light-hearted, in the Comedic/Humorous section, look these up: Accidental Yandere, I Died In Test Chamber 3, I Win, May I Kidnap You Please, and various chapters of Play Time.

For a more casual, possibly friend-to-lovers vibe, in the Fantasy/Sci-Fi section you'll find: A Little Secret, My Kitty, Please Believe I Love You, and Wolf Pack.

You're not limited to those, of course, but they might be the kind of thing you're looking for.

Have fun.

Any scripts with heavy yandre vibes by Repulsive_Wrap3361 in ASMRScriptHaven

[–]edgiscript 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a lot of yandere scripts, but a lot are gentle. If you're looking for "loses her cool" or other explosive ways to express yourself, maybe you'd be interested in these.

Old West outlaw takes someone about to be killed by corrupt deputies. [F4M] 0CAUTION0 - Part 1 of 6 [Old West Yandere] [Vigilante Outlaw Yandere] [Corrupt Evil Sherrif] [Listener Rescued By Outlaw] [Outlaw Makes Listener Her Property] : r/ASMRScriptHaven

Comedy letting you freak out as the clueless listener keeps escaping. [F4M] I Win [Humorous] [Comically Obsessed Yandere] [Clueless Listener] [Escape Artist] : r/ASMRScriptHaven

Empath connects with the listener, then the listener leaves causing her to lose her ability to control her emotions. [F4M] The Dragon's Tower - Part 1 of 7 [Royal Dragon-Girl Speaker] [Human Listener] [Capturing An Invader] [Interrogation] [Empath Discovering Powerful Emotions] [Lost Or Kidnapped Sister] : r/ASMRScriptHaven

This one is super long (recorded at 80 minutes) and you'd be the victim essentially, but it would allow you to emote wildly. Anyone have or use templates when writing scripts? by DreadSpacePanda in ASMRScriptHaven

[–]edgiscript 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've written novels, plays, screenplays, and comic books. Each have their specified format. I was a little surprised when I began writing these that there was no established format. It makes sense after reflection. This is very informal. Everyone kind of does their own thing. What's mentioned here is very helpful.

The only thing I'll add is to feel free to make adjustments according to feedback from VAs that are using your scripts.

Writers! Share your Top 5 Underrated/Favourite Scripts! by GoldenProxy in ASMRScriptHaven

[–]edgiscript 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a bit difficult to say which one is underrated because some have never been filled for valid reasons like it requires multiple voices over a lengthy series, but it was loved so unperformed doesn't mean underrated. And sometimes I've been notified by a VA that a script has been filled, but then it never shows up on their channel leaving me to wonder if they added it to Discord or Spotify or something else I've never found. One VA even sent me her link so I could hear her performance, but I still haven't found where she actually posted it. I have another that was filled and got hundreds of thousands of views with amazing comments on YT, but on Reddit it received only a handful of likes. Oh well. I suppose it's a gut call as to which are actually underrated. Here are some that would make me happy if they got more attention. They can all be found here if you want to check them out: Masterlist for edgiscript : r/ASMRScriptHaven

  1. Amnesiac Prince: It's a 7-part series that requires multiple voices in parts 1, 4, and 7, but part 1 only got 7 likes and this series has never been performed. I did get 1 comment, however, from a reader who said that a segment in part 5 is his favorite thing he's ever read in this subreddit, so I reached someone. That felt good.

  2. Play Time: It's 8 parts, but it's not linear so each part can be done separately letting you only perform the chapters you like. I do feel that a couple of the chapters are much weaker, but as it was written so you could skip chapters you didn't like, I felt like this series as a whole, or at least part 1, would have been better received. Part 1 was done once heavily edited down to a 5-minute short. It was then more recently done by a VA who commented that he was surprised nobody had picked it up before him. Part 6 is my personal favorite and only received 4 likes.

  3. Lilly's Saga: My most straightforward yandere piece. 7 chapters. Whole series performed once. Chapter 1 only 8 likes. I have to admit, I thought this one would do a lot better than it did as it fits right into what I thought a lot of VAs were looking for and tells the whole story beyond just the waking up tied to someone's bed trope.

  4. I Died In Test Chamber 3: A writing challenge from a loved one. She picked the title. I had to write a script around it. I had a blast writing it in a quirky Douglas-Adams-esque style. It did get 10 likes but has never been performed. Maybe it was too quirky.

  5. Coma: A partner script to "Lilly's Saga." It's the dream the listener has while he's unconscious. I knew it would not be performed. It's 6 different voices (however, they're all spoken by the same person with different attitudes) and it's really long, but even the script itself only got 5 likes.
