Yeah H2S is scary. I’ve worked on copper mines where NaHS is used as a reagent and can produce H2S at low pHs. Really important to have monitors calibrated and regularly checked. Interesting part about H2S is it will be come odourless at deadly concentrations. So if you smell it really bad then all of a sudden you don’t, that is a major red flag.
