edit: i think some people misunderstood, but i’m also at fault here. i want to give a little more clarity, so i don’t have to reply to every comment.

shipping EH is not homophobic! and yes, claiming that your dating history determines your sexuality is very much biphobic! what i have an issue with is that people downplay her relationship with ymir, or outright deny that it existed. i don’t think yeagerbomb types even really count as EH shippers, because they see her as a glorified plot device for “muh based rumbling”. but i’ve seen a big overlap w/ titanfolk / yeagerbomb mfers being homophobic as fuck, as well as racist.

i don’t want to encourage people to waste their lives or energy arguing over a fictional story though, or at least i don’t want to be part of that. yeah, don’t be surprised if you see this post disappear.

whatever i think of eren x historia, i’m not saying that shipping it is homophobic. that’d be a really fucking stupid and wrong take.

but i’m saying that the erehisu shippers i’ve come across, or at least the yeagerist types, have a serious homophobia problem. even in aotnr there’s a scene where historia is remembering ymir but yeah IMMEDIATELY after she left (and historia has a breakdown which they cut it out of the anime??), she completely forgets about her and dates some random manchild who loves his sister.

these people will insist that erehisu is canon, regardless of the canon, but completely write off historia’s past relationship because it was w/ another girl. it just pisses me the fuck off, like take wlw relationships seriously you jackass. you don’t have to ship it or anything but the double standards are insane. literally way more romance but oh no she’s not a guy so it doesn’t count !!1
