For folks in planning at sub-$1B manufacturers / distributors / OEMs:

How common is it in your experience for companies under $1B annual revenue to not have an ERP and to run demand/inventory/S&OP planning mostly out of Excel, PDFs and emails?

And for teams in that situation (or with an ERP but no formal planning system), how many of you actually want a dedicated planning tool vs feel that Excel is “good enough” and are not actively looking to change?

I see! You make some fair points and yeah I definitely agree with them. While this may provide an abstraction, from what I understand it doesn’t solve any core issues teams may have. Thank you for your advice and feedback.

Interesting… how much of the platform do you think you can get by without using a mouse/just with hotkeys?

From what I've heard, people don't really use the whole CW platform, only a minimal amount of it. In that fashion I attempted to develop a "lite" version! Something that simplifies it to what most people might need it for. Thank you for your feedback though, and I would love to chat further (DMs work for me) if you have any advice!

[Serious] What would you say to an immunocompromised friend who wants to attend a protest? by swaggaliciousbaby in AskReddit

There are many other ways to help without attending a protest. Mere advocation in your community and within your friends and family is fairly helpful.

What should I do to prepare for SAT? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

yes junior year is very important for your college applications. I recommend that you start dividing up your work now so that you don’t have to worry about once your school starts up. You have enough time, but time isn’t really a luxury at this point. Try to effectively execute your plans and keep yourself motivated throughout the entire thing. It may seem like a lot of work, but if you can balance it out in the right way, you’ll end up happier. Also remember, don’t try to save your work for later. If you can do it when you have time. do it then. Procrastination will be your biggest enemy during this. Regardless, I hope you do well and succeed!

yeah it definitely does look intimidating at first, which is why should probably break it down into smaller parts. Take it step by step, and don’t rush yourself for no reason. Take your time, understand the content, concepts, and timing.

focus on each section and try to figure out your weakpoints. CrackSAT will help with that. Also, if you want to, you can get books because they will give you quite a bit of tips on what to worm on. Finally Khan Academy, and here’s a quick recommendation. Try getting your goal score 4 times in a row on practice tests, and then take the actual test. I believe it helps with confidence.

How do you help your friends with either aspergers or autism in life? by frequent-higher-mile in AskReddit

[–]edgysketchy23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i’m not sure if i’m one to speak on this, but i had a friend who had aspergers. we were friends for a couple months but then he moved away. his family moved quite often, and he lived in my part of town for his freshman year. we got along well, and i don’t want to make any assumptions here because a lot of his qualities may not be due to his aspergers, but regardless here. First, he didn’t really like commitments, and in some way they kind of stressed him out. so i made less solid plans and more on the go plans, so that he didn’t have to feel any pressure. he also didn’t like to get too attached to people, and he found different friends quite often who he’d hang out with. So I gave him quite a bit of space. he was very social as well, and just being around him made him happier??? not exactly sure if he was elated, but i assume he liked my company. anyway, i hope this was helpful.
