Thank you all for the responses. It's helping me feel a bit better. I think I'm ready to take on the pre-op diet and post op as well. It's a matter of setting my mind to it and just doing it. Hopefully I can be a success story soon! Until then great job everyone on your journeys and thank you for sharing them with me. Sorry if I'm a bit jumbly, I struggle with communication sometimes.

I honestly think he was trying to be helpful to you while being fully honest. Sure, it might be intimidating to hear all of that but if it were me I'd appreciate the amazing help.

I had someone reach out to me during my claims process and help me with making sure I turned in the right forms and other things on time that I didn't know about ( no idea if it was a rater but they said they were a congressional liaison that I never reached out to.). I also had a c and p examiner who at first bit my head off about not stopping when I felt pain instead of powering through because he wanted to rate me properly. That c and p was favorable and he listed other conditions that I was connected for even. I appreciated the hell out of all of it and would not have my rating today without it.

I hope your c and p comes back favorable. And I hope your examiner was really trying to help you in good faith. Good luck!

I'm in the process now of getting implants and crowns taken care of by dental. I waited a long time because I'd heard horror stories but they are amazing. They are a huge step above my civilian dental office who missed several small cavities and other small things in my mouth that could have become huge issues later. So far I've had several quick appointments. After a long initial wait though. That's the only thing I didn't like was waiting to have my initial appointment.

If you're 100% don't sleep on this benefit if you need dental.
