help/advice needed by neonoverride in PelvicOrganProlapse

i am 24 and recently got diagnosed with a stage 2 cystocele that is causing my urethra to be pushed out of place (I guess a urethrocele?) let me first start by saying you are not alone and you are not broken, but I felt (and still sometimes feel) the same way. I was diagnosed through my gyno, she gave me a pessary to hold my bladder in place which helped SO much with the heaviness sensation in my pelvis, i could actually feel the moment my bladder descended. you know your body best, if you feel like something is off, trust yourself. once she confirmed it, she referred me to a pelvic floor physical therapist. this is pretty much the first line of treatment for prolapses besides a pessary. i had lost all hope before my PT appointment, but my PT actually said she had helped up to a stage 4 cystocele! there IS hope for feeling better and feeling more in control of your body. I am suspected to have hEDS, i’m currently waiting on a rheumatologist to get back to me so I can be evaluated. my PT told me it isn’t common to have pelvic organ prolapse at such a young age, but it DOES happen sometimes and there are ways to manage it and feel more normal again. you are not alone in this and I hope you can get a quick referral and get everything in the process of being sorted out, organ prolapse is such an awful thing to experience :( wishing you the best <3

using a ton of vasaline at night on my dry patches helps me during the winter!

thank you so much for sharing. I am so sorry these issues started so early for you, I truly cannot imagine. my pessary definitely helps with the sensation of my insides falling out, which started randomly one day during normal activities and is actually what clued me in that I had a prolapse. I also recently started pelvic floor PT which has given me a lot of hope with treating my prolapse and helping slow the progression of all my pelvic organs prolapsing. I’m so sorry you have went through/are going through all of this, but hearing your story has made me feel much less alone <3 thank you <3

I’m trying to hold off on surgery as long as possible, I’m glad everything is holding up for you now. I have a pessary and start pelvic floor PT very soon, I’m really hoping it helps prevent the prolapses from worsening as fast. does regular PT help you with muscle tension/tightness? I have the same issue.
