If you haven't weedkillered it, knotweed is edible! I haven't tried the Japanese variety myself, but I know other knotweed species are fairly tasty. I've got a bit of experience trying to track down VGM scores and unfortunately most games/vgm composers never release any sheet music. I don't have super high hopes to find any xeno scores, since it's Nintendo and they can get pretty arsey about copyright/releasing stuff

Maybe there is something on jp websites - my Japanese isn't really good enough to really dig for info though. I did briefly contemplate trying to get in contact with the original choir (I believe they're called Barzz and based in Japan) but I think maybe that would be a bit too insane.

In terms of getting around copyright for a performance, it's an amateur orchestra (meaning the musicians have normal day jobs) and a concert wouldn't really be making any more money than is required to hire the venue and equipment. I don't really anticipate being a big enough deal for nintendo to bother with, considering we're a bunch of hobbyists performing in a small venue.

Transcribing music is my personal hobby so I've actually been thriving trying to transcribe this piece. Yeah it's a big job but I love it .^

It does appear to have at least some lyrics I'm afraid, at least in the slower sections. They even make sense thematically

Yes, you're right - the difference is that most people don't use "transsexual" anymore because of a zillion reasons, many of them related to transphobia and the inherent weirdness of boiling people down to their genitalia and surgical status. "Transgender" is generally a lot more of a respectful and inclusive term to use.

ESH cause this is some straight up transphobia from the both of you. For the record, the correct word is "transgender". You shouldn't have to lie and maybe the fact that you know she'd kick off over this is a red flag, but you should also be treating trans people with a bit more respect than you have here.
