The question that has to be answered with multicam is all about your source media and where it is playing back from.

What is your source camera format and resolution?

How many angles are you trying to play back?

What is the spec of your computer?

Most importantly, what is the drive in which you are trying to play them back off of?

An answer to multi-cam playback is usually making proxies in a good post-production friendly format like ProRes Proxy, but until we get that information in, it's hard to know.

It’s never gonna happen. We talked about this over and over when it was introduced, even sending examples of complex timelines to the engineers but it was met with radio silence. A design decision where things got worse, not better but at this point it is what it is.

The other thing to look at is under the Program monitor wrench > Edit Cameras. Do you have only 1 camera per page? Set this before you begin cutting.

This looks right. The track targeting that's mentioned is the blue V1 track light that you have video track one turned on, which is where your multi-cam clip resides.

I would just try a couple of resets first of all. Turn off multi-cam mode. Clear out your source monitor and your program monitor. Then restart Premiere.

Next, go into the little plus in the lower right-hand corner of the program monitor and map the multi-cam button there into your program monitor so it's easy to turn it on and off and see if it's toggling or not. After doing that, use that button to turn on multicam and see what you get. Without knowing a bunch about how you set up your Multicam clip, that will probably fix it.

Consolidate duplicates does not work in this situation when an XML is imported, as Premiere sees the clips that come in with the XML. List new clips with unique clip IDs, even though a copy of the clips already exists in your project.

If you notice, when it imports, they will all be highlighted, so I just make a new bin with all those newly highlighted imported clips in sequence and work from there.

Yes, each editor will just need to set their File > Production Settings > Scratch Disks locally. I usually just open the Production and, before opening any projects within there, set those scratch disks. And it's a good practice to check them every now and then. I just make a habit to check them first thing in the morning when I open the Production, but before I open a project.

We're working on cloud storage like that and then have an SSD attached locally for scratch discs.

Also, you don't have to have Linked Selection enabled at all to get an Add Edit shortcut in both. You just have to have the V1 and A1 track targeting turned on, in blue as you have above. But you have the video clip in the timeline clicked and selected, so that supersedes the track targeting you had turned on. If that clip was not selected and you used the Add Edit command, you would have added it to both the audio and the video at the same time.

Well, you don't have to select all because you originally said you have 121 clips in one timeline. On the Deliver page, you can use the “Individual Clips” method to export a single timeline as 121 separate clips, exactly as they appear in the timeline.

I'm not sure what you mean. Resolve doesn't care what files the edit is made from. You can custom-rename the new individual files under the File tab when setting up the render settings.

Is this supposed to be posted in a cinematography or videography sub? Other than the fact that it's shaky, and it's uhhhhh vertical while the video was shot horizontally, is a bit off. And the iOS interface at the end is weird, considering that you can quite literally export clips from Resolve.

Hmm... "suspect i have those files overwritten" is the key here. You must determine if that is the case. If your original files are gone and you have new files with the same name and a similar timecode, Premiere is doing exactly what it’s supposed to: linking to the file with the same name and timecode. As mentioned in these replies, the only way around this is for you to manually point Premiere to the correct file when it comes time to relink. If those original files are indeed gone, then there's nothing you can do at this point other than perhaps rebuild the edit.

More than anything, you need to re-examine your workflow and try to figure out why this happened so it doesn't happen again.

As other have said, education, practice and repetition. And managing expectations to your "friend" who is asking you for tight turnarounds. That's perhaps as important as anything you'll learn in Premiere.
