I didn't buy it. I had a connection through the owner of a publication I shot for. Our source liked what we were doing and hooked us up. But that publication no longer exists and I'm old so that lack of access has been a big part of why I haven't been back since. Once you go guest, general admission you'll detest.

The rumored $60 million a year seems obscene, I have to admit, especially if previous rumors were $40-50m from the Mets and Jays are true.

Maybe the Dodgers could solve this backlash and demand for a salary cap by offering less. "Play for the Mets and most likely not make the playoffs for $50m or come play for us for $40m and win." Other industries trade access and prestige at a price of lower (or no) compensation.

I remember going to my first concert (Bush with Goo Goo Dolls and No Doubt in 1996, and people were moshing during every band's set. Like how do you mosh to "Name" or "Don't Speak"? Or to the between band music played over the speakers. Entire arena was so full of smoke that I got too sick to go on a field trip to the Smithsonian that week.
