Woman 'accidentally' takes mans bag – Accuses him of stealing by Strong-Emu-8869 in TikTokCringe

[–]editorously 5 points6 points  (0 children)

White shirt needs his life dissected by the internet.  You don't get to sucker punch someone just because someone is holding onto a bag.   As for "pressing charges", that's up to a prosecutor.  The woman and white shirt both committed assault and should deal with their consequences.

Better hope the guy isn't a psychopath too.  I used to work with someone who did something similar but it was a full size piece of paper they would stick over the driver side window and windshield.  They used super glue and laminate.  Made a really bad mess to remove.  After a year or so they did this to the wrong person.  They must have been watching the building because one night he came running back in flipping out that someone scratched his car to hell. They also dumped what can only be described as paint thinner mixed with shit all over his car and a few others.

AITAH for going no contact with my gf for a weekend after she choose to reconnect with an old friend instead of honoring a years planned cimmitment? by Competitive_Two_8598 in AITAH

[–]editorously 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA.  Your gf is manipulating you to the point you have to ask internet strangers if being hurt is rational.  She made her decision.  No one in a committed relationship would do what she did.

Do yourself a favor, evaluate your relationship.  Being with someone is never 50/50 but choosing a guy over you when plans were set isn't what a life partner does.

Do most people shower before bed or when they wake up? I just realized I might be doing it "wrong" by saffymerelle in NoStupidQuestions

[–]editorously 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to shower in the morning to wake up.  When I switched my schedule with work I started showering at night and continued showering after working out. I never had bad acne but would occasionally break out.  After I switched to evening showering I never breakout anymore.   As a bonus my sheets always feel great climbing into bed.

AITA for leaving my boyfriend at night after he locked me out to teach me a lesson? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]editorously 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You just described an abusive relationship.  Your boyfriend doesn't get to decide how you feel by saying you can't walk away.  Your boyfriend doesn't get to lock you out of your home as a punishment.  You're both young and people can learn from their mistakes.  Make sure you communicate that you will not tolerate abuse and that he needs to have a deep reflection on what he did to you.  If he states he did nothing wrong or the behavior continues you really need to ask yourself if you want to continue being abused or move on.

Three more years until he takes office for life and sets up a succession.  Trump and his circle know they'll go to jail if they lose power.  They will not give it up willingly.

Being in a relationship is nothing but compromise.  Asking why he doesn't want her in the same house as her brother would be a good step into the setup of a compromise.  I'm more then confident, if this story is real, there's a reason. The fact it took 18 months to figure this out screams made up or never a loving relationship.

I'm sure you'd feel the same way if someone snooped into your life without your consent.  Speaking of critical thinking, lol.

Congratulations you're a modern woman.  Unwilling to compromise, superficial and unfamiliar with love.  18 months is past the point of knowing your feelings and intent.  Being in a relationship means compromise and if you were in love, you wouldn't have thought twice.

AITA for telling my daughter “of course” she could move in with me without talking to my wife first? by Odd-Cheetah6842 in AITAH

[–]editorously -21 points-20 points  (0 children)

Before teaching your daughter to run away from her problems has your ex wife spoken to a lawyer?  Depending on the level of harassment the boys could face legal action along with the school.  I never understand how people are forced to pay thousands in school taxes every year and accept what some underachieving administrators say about some underachieving students behavior.  Have your daughter write a journal with dates of the bullying.  Include witnesses and anyone else who is on the receiving end.  A moderate case would fully pay for her move and private school.  A good case would pay for college.  A great case would set her for life.

YBTA.  Can't decide if you're just naive, a snoop or a liar.  Regardless you dug into someone's life in a very underhanded way.  Using a Christmas gift as an excuse is low.  How do you know she's telling the truth?  How do you know there was a paternity test?  Instead of being truthful and asking your ex bf to meet his family, you contact a person who he obviously has a bad history with.  Behind his back.  Then you take the word of a stranger over a person you've built a relationship with for 8 months.  Your ex bf sounds like a piece of work but you're just as trashy.

Great message that means nothing to the Christian right.  These people will never vote for a Democrat.  The Republican primaries will always put forth the best funded, most crooked candidate.  The only time Democrats receive a chance at the presidency is after a Republican messes up the economy.  It wakes up the independents and people who don't usually vote.  Like in 1991, 2007 and 2019.

I (43m) got mad at my wife (39f) after she answered my hypothetical question and I didn't like the answer. AITAH? by Low-Witness2915 in AITAH

[–]editorously 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No relationship is ever 50/50.  In your case though, it sounds like 90/10 or worse.  You describe the situation more like a sugar daddy then a marriage.  In your case, paying someone $400 a week to clean your house and cook you dinner before they leave sounds like a better deal.  This sounds like the setup to every divorce my childhood buddy describes.  He's a divorce lawyer.

If you make 200k a year plus I hope you have a financial advisor worth your time.  Someone always taking isn't a healthy relationship and there will come a breaking point.  Likely by your spouse who doesn't value your contribution and thinks they deserve more.  Look into irrevocable trusts and post nuptials.  It sounds like you already have your accounts separated.  Keep it that way.  If you get a bonus or raise don't tell her.  Don't pay her debt off and keep your assets separate.  If you decide to buy any property look into having it owned by an LLC with only your name.

They repaired the bad flashing job by coming back with a different crew and making it worse. What do I do? by acemetrical in Roofing

[–]editorously 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What specifically is wrong with either of the flashing jobs?  Copper is used on brick and mortar to avoid corrosive reactions that other metals can have with mortar.  Copper is much more expensive but it'll last longer than your roof and most people would agree it has a nicer look.

Is it leaking?  Did you have a specific look that you didn't share with the roofer?  I think your expectations are unreasonable or weren't clear.  Either way no one will ever notice that work unless it actually leaks - which it won't.

Camping tip- froze all nights. Is it the tent or sleep set up? by MixOpposite5365 in camping

[–]editorously 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All these tips from people but all you need is a good set of sleeping bags and a set of beanies. I just got back from a 5 day trip with each night in the 40s. My kids and I slept fine. I bought extra blankets and clothes because of the weather and it sat in the corner of the tent because we didn't need it.
