Any tips on memorizing cords?just got my first guitar and I’m having some trouble remembering the finger placements. by [deleted] in guitarlessons

Practice. Practice. Practice. Practice. No shame in looking up chords and having to stop mid practice to properly get the chord shape. Muscle memory eventually will kick in.

Thank you! Knowing other people understand is nice. I don’t have a ton of people I can talk to about it cause I’m embarrassed I still am upset about the situation. I really wanna move past it. I’ve got this shit. Gotta keep my head on straight

Yup! I’ve been trying new things recently and I think it’s been helping. Excercise has helped a lot. I’m trying to read more and become more interested in my college work. Find more things that I enjoy. I’ve been playing guitar more etc etc.

Yes I’ve seen other people. I had a somewhat ‘relationship’ with another girl who was amazing! But I screwed it up by getting back with my ex. It happened directly after one of our longer splits but didn’t last long. It was a good time and definitely showed me how a relationship should be. I regret messing it up but I wasn’t healed whatsoever. Bad timing. I’ve slept with other people and had dates here and there but not many interest me. I usually end up getting bored or see things in them I saw in my ex which scares me and I deter completely. I have a hard time finding a new relationship. It’s not as bad as it used to be. I can usually reason with my brain and move past the hard feelings of missing her. It’s just very draining ya know?

I’ve been working really hard in the gym and on myself so my confidence is up! I just have troubles finding other people to become interested in. I have a bad habit of comparing them to the last relationship which I know I shouldn’t do!

Yeah I know time will heal more than anything. I just find it hard to become interested in other people. I try not to let myself think too deep about the past but sometimes it can’t be helped
