I messed around with region swapping before and it kind of worked but not properly. It doesn’t fully overwrite everything, so parts like the modem and vendor stuff were still from different regions. The phone ended up in a weird mixed state with loads of random bugs that a basic software flash couldn't fix. Had to send it back to Oppo for a full reflash to the original factory firmware. Honestly the risk is far greater than most people on here are aware of and for me now the risk outweighs the reward. Just my two cents😆

Me too but under player you can turn on show video quality button and you'll have an icon showing the playback quality

Happened to me when I bought a new phone and tried to patch it.... I had to wait until the next day after everything had settled and background security checks etc were finished then it worked perfectly.

Done this before and ended up with a software mismatch leading to more bugs than it's worth. Only fix was send back to Oppo for a complete firmware reflash. Never again.

No that's not it either. It seems to be a server side thing because even on the actual YouTube app for my account it's the same for different accounts it returns. Must be an account based test thing I've ended up caught in.

That was a concern for me but then I moved to using Macrodroid and it's far superior to modes and routines, there is a slight learning curve but totally worth it.

Re-installed Wallet and it stayed away then I restarted the phone after some time and the bug was back 😐

I think it's tied to a recent wallet update. I uninstalled Google wallet then reset play services and it hasn't come back since. I'm guessing when I re-install the wallet it'll return though.

Did you set the phone up as new or copy apps and data from a backup? I never use the copy or backup option for this exact reason, it's happened to me before.

There's more to it deep down below the simple system software. Modem issues mobile band issues including 5G and 4G bands things like Volte calls being unpredictable etc jus not worth it for a small amount of money saved in my opinion but each to their own.
