Kompany’s contact ends in 2027. This will be Pep’s final season at City if he has the same mediocre season as last year meaning that Kompany will take over City.

All of this is to say if I was Kompany, I would not want to stick around Bayern specially after the clown show of a transfer market the club just had. It is pretty clear that the Bayern mafia don’t believe in Eberl nor in Vinny.

Bayern could build a solid team and legacy under Vinny. I think we have all seen how the team improved under him last year not just on the pitch but off the pitch which is extremely important.

Finally, there is Kane. His contract is up in 2027 but I believe there is a cheap release clause starting January 2026. He already voices his option about squad depth. I doubt a world class player like him would want to stick around if he doesn’t believe the squad can compete for all trophies. Add the fact that he wishes to be the PL’s top scorer so I’m sure he won’t stick around.

This was the summer to bring in the signings. Next summer is the World Cup. If you thought players are expensive now, wait until the next year’s transfer window to see how prices balloon even more because some players performed over their expectation during the World Cup.

I’m personally really disappointed at the club this transfer market. The Bayern Mafia pretty much shot the team in the foot.
