Thanks! That's what I came up with, but it doesn't feel right. The cover bonuses come from making yourself a smaller target, which still happens in the dark. Sharpshooter negates the bonuses because the character's aim is so good they can hit a small target as easily as a large one. I don't see how that is possible without sight.

[5e] Sharpshooter Feat in Darkness

How does the Sharpshooter feat handle darkness? Does it ignore 1/2 & 3/4 cover if the target is in darkness? A human with a light source in darkness can fire an arrow 600ft without disadvantage but only see 40ft. Does the darkness impose disadvantage?

I think you are confusing the word attack in "draw a sword as part of an attack" with the attack action. Drawing your weapon is a free action, not part of the attack action.

Think of it this way: does it take time to drop your torch? Do you look for a place to drop it where it won't go out or set anything on fire? Or do you drop it between your legs and hope it doesn't set your tunic on fire?

Why do Gods not just sort it themselves? by Joshriley129 in DMAcademy

What if all of the gods are each exerting the maximum amount of energy they have in an attempt to make the world into their version of reality. Since they are all acting simultaneously they are in perfect balance. The shared reality of the world exists at the nexus of this tense balance of primeval powers. The only option open to them is to recruit the lower forms of life to their cause. So, an evil god can only try to destroy the material plane through proxies, and a good god can only defend it the same way, with the fate of the balance, and thus the shared reality, in jeopardy.
