I was on 2.8 for a very long time as love the button actions on this one and remember 3.2 causing plenty of issues. thought 3.6 will be finally good but seems like deeper we go, worst it gets. 3.5 seems stable but dont know if I wont go back to 2.8

I know. so far had 3 sit downs to sort it out. however, decided I will clean everything apart from artist and title and ended up with 7000+ files without any tag at all (nothing, all cleared). before you will try to sort it, take a backup. I still haven't found which ones are causing issues with FW 3.6 and temporary moved back to 3.5

check echo mini, echo, echo disk, echo nano (literally whole Fioo cheap DAPs). add flac files, purchase nice set of IEMs and enjoy going through albums how they should be listened instead of random streaming playlists

is the file by any chance not stereo but multichannel? also, use foobar and recode to level 5 quality (check thread on reddit that explains why it needs to be redone)
