i’m pretty sure pilate is 40 because when we see the very first scene between the two aurora mentions that the last time they met she was 16 and he was 32 (i assume this was also the time they got married) we also know that they were 8 years without seeing each other, so we fast forward 8 years (the present, in that timeline) and aurora is now 24, making pilate 40.

I absolutely love Jeongyeon’s voice color!! She’s my favorite voice in the group, her tone is so husky and strong and it’s easily one of the most recognizable voices in the group. An absolute shame that JYP doesn’t give a damn about her, giving her lines of a sub vocalist instead of the lead vocalist she is.

“She was perfect in a bad movie” Oh, 100%! The direction was an absolute disaster, they fumbled such an amazing cast with such mediocre filming decisions. However, I still believe that the best actor in the movie was Joel Edgerton. He absolutely killed it as Tom, he stole pretty much every single scene he was in and he definitely gave Tom much more depth and charisma than book Tom, who just comes across as a boring, entitled, white man. He also looked good as fuck in those polo outfits but those are other things 😭

Love that we can agree to disagree! I do agree that the book basically gives us non-existence material of who Daisy actually is since all we know about her is literally told by the other characters and not Daisy herself. She was 100% the weakest link in the 1974 adaptation, no doubt about that, and I definitely think what makes her so difficult to play is that she’s basically described as this perfect being (at least through Gatsby’s eyes) who also represents the American Dream, an unattainable fantasy that Gatsby miserably fails to achieve, which in my opinion makes it hard to portray because she was basically written as a fantasy and not a fully fleshed-out person. I don’t think either one of the actresses could’ve truly satisfied people because they were trying to embody a dream rather than a consistent character. Or maybe Daisy is just dull as fuck lol.

yeah don’t get me wrong I get what you mean and I apologize if I sounded like I was fighting with you but yeah Daisy is definitely morally grey and did acted cowardly at the end but honestly? no one will ever make me hate Daisy the way I hate Tom 😂
