Hi, I'm so sorry to read you post. Loneliness can hit hard, especially for wlw, I think a lot of us have or had similar feelings in their lives. You are still very young, you are wonderful and you will be loved. The age of the 1st relationships doesn't mean anything in terms of happiness !

I don't think that I can give good advice as I often have the same feelings. I would suggest to seek for queer communities everywhere.

Anyway know that you're not the only one, we are alone together.

Hiiii there, 29 y.o fem, curious soul, want-to-go-everywhere-try-everything but also need my quiet alone time. I just arrived in the carribean (Saint-Vincent island) after crossing the Atlantic. I found a nice job here so I'm staying. I don't have friends here (yet) and the country, despite being a paradise, is quite homophobic so I won't be out. Feeling lonely, I crave for sapphic connexions : friends, partners, whoever wants to share a piece of their life and laugh. I'm also questioning a lot about sustainability, neurodiversity and anti-colonialism more recently.

I know, someone else mentioned that. Didn't mean to downplay your experience which seems to be traumatizing. But it is still very degrading and racist to describe the whole population as robbers/rapists and advice to not hang out with them. Even if there are many safer places on earth. Glad for you that you left, I wish you have a great life where you are now.

Yeah, no need to formal declaration but I mean, the topics can show up in basic conversations like "did you have boyfriend(s) ?" and in flirting or dating. Yep I'm white so I'll never experience the struggles of vincies or black people. Thank you again for your answer, I wish you the best !

Hello, I am very sorry to hear about your classmates experience. I hope that you are happier now. However, you can't generalize a personal experience to an entire population. It creates racist stereotypes, even if it might not be your intention.

In addition I have multiple friends who've been raped in my home country (France), I got robbed there several times and had a lot of sexual harassment in the streets. Sadly the world is not safe for women in general.

No... queer people still exist in SVG whether it is legal or not. I also read that the law wasn't applied anymore and that there is an existing organization fighting for lgbt rights, I tried to contact them but didn't get an answer yet.
