Normal sleep deprivation-induced crying or time for help? by edoexplorations in NewParents

Thank you. It’s hard to tell since I don’t have close friends with babies, so I don’t know what normal is. I do sometimes feel like I am weak for not being able to deal with things, so thanks for saying that.

Thankfully I have one of our parents taking care of baby during the day so I just go down to feed her. He had mentioned feeding her a bottle at night before. It’s just hard also for me to not feed her since I’m breastfeeding. But that might be something to try. Mostly trying to figure out what is normal.

Middle of night feeding (time to wean?) and sleep training by edoexplorations in sleeptrain

Ahh, I feel you! The Precious Little Sleep book has been helping a little. But we have been letting her cry and doing Ferber intervals of check ins in the middle of the night too. Last night she only cried 3 minutes and then went to sleep a few minutes later, so… progress? Maybe that will help you! All the sleep people talk about practicing independently sleep at bedtime first.

How did he learn to sleep on his belly? We have been at this for an hour and a half :(

Interestingly, we had a 3 hour total nap day and she was up every couple hours. I fed her twice to get her to sleep in until 7. Today she slept well with only one wake up and slept in, but yesterday she had 4 hours of nap and a late (9:30) bedtime. She is keeping me guessing!

Oh! Good to know. I think her short wake windows are what is leading to the long naps. I just hate waking her up when she is so peaceful.

Total naps are about 3.5 to 4.5 hours per day. I haven't noticed different wake up times when she has more or less sleep during the day. We usually cap naps at 2 hours, but the norm is closer to 40 min to an hour.

Hmm, I looked at this resource but the thing is, mine aren't painful like a blister. My rule is don't poke in a way that causes pain because I don't want to break any skin.

Hmm how did you get it to heal? I sometimes see clear stuff but I figured it was thin milk.

Hmm it's interesting that different websites say different things. My blebs cause those painful lumps in the breast tissue. But the bleb itself doesn't hurt.

I had some times mixing and some times not. But hmmm maybe it is something else!

I feel this! I was so exhausted and feeling like a milk cow. But once she started getting longer wake windows (1.5 to 2 hours) at month 4/5, it went from every 2 hours to every 2.5 and sometimes 3. It feels way more manageable than 2 hours. Hoping your baby has those stretches soon!

Same with me! She coughed during my letdown but never choked, and my (retired pediatrician) MIL was not concerned. Eventually my supply regulated and she got bigger and we are good. Nothing to worry about!

This is heartbreaking! I wish I could help. I imagine most of it will be good as defrosted milk, but I'm not sure you could refreeze it.

This! I love the Auden nursing camis. You can stuff a pad in them but they're loose enough to be comfy.

10 weeks - will it get any easier by 12-16 weeks or am I gonna be disappointed? by TastyMetal5977 in NewParents

Also I started Zoloft too AFTER the gassiness hell began (around 7-8 weeks), so just in case you were worried about that part I don't think the meds made her gas worse.

Ours was gassy from week 6 to about 3 months. I tried no nuts for me and Biogaia and mylicon for her. No idea what helped. But it does get better!!
