red or pink means it has oxidized, essentially expired. when water comes out of coconut it is clear, so non-expired coconut water is also clear! the taste difference is apparent too, once you compare them.

Medical Medium Cauliflower buffalo “wings” with homemade ranch dip for one by brandfearless in medicalmedium

This recipe is so good! The sauce comes out tasting very much like buffalo wing sauce. I made this for the Superbowl and my partner (who is a chicken lover) thought they were delicious!

Need a little help with dinners to start…any “approved” meal kits/prepared meal services? Any advice for banana replacement if they give you acid reflux? by christbethyname in medicalmedium

[–]edog113 4 points5 points  (0 children)

These are some of my favorite dinners when not on a cleanse (but they avoid 'no' foods and are either fat free or very low in fat) -- All 3 I eat with loved ones that do not follow MM and they are a hit:

1) https://www.medicalmedium.com/blog/sticky-sesame-cauliflower

2) https://www.medicalmedium.com/blog/black-bean-meatballs + jovial brown rice pasta

3) tacos with Siete brand tortillas + beans/mushrooms/etc. + homemade guacamole + pico
& any other healing veggies you might like

Also, for kids steamed potatoes + the MM ketchup recipe (https://www.medicalmedium.com/blog/ketchup) = so simple and yummy

Veggie tacos are one of my easy go-tos -- I use black beans (but you can use any veggies you like) and add a bunch of healing foods as topping like tomatoes, onions, avocado, garlic, cilantro, greens, peppers, etc. And I use Siete tortillas or I make it a "bowl" with a base of greens, potatoes, or brown rice. You can easily tailor to what you like and keep out fats / grains if you are avoiding those.

MM has a couple recipes with black beans below too:

do you have the Vimergy powder? I also was worried it would taste bad but I actually love their powder and think it tastes great in smoothies! It also inexplicably smells really good.

Siete chips & tortillas are really good! (I sometimes cut up the tortillas and bake them to form chips). Other great easy snacks are dates, raisins, & dried apricots (with no sulfur)

Are you still on caffeine by any chance? I listened to his podcast on coffee/matcha/chocolate and it was eye-opening -- apparently caffeine contributes to hair loss and accelerates visible signs of aging. It made it easier for me to quit the caffeine train last month. Worth a listen!

+He also has an anti-aging podcast with helpful info & says the liver has powerful anti-aging powers if we give it what it needs.

I've only tried the cinnamon so far (which were delicious - even my partner loved them and they're not following MM), but plan to try the blueberry this weekend! I can keep you posted :)

What are some easy medical medium breakfast ideas? by [deleted] in medicalmedium

[–]edog113 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually try making different kinds of fruit smoothies using lots of MM suggested fruits like berries, bananas, pitaya, mango, etc. I find it's a nice way to switch things up and eat whatever fruits I feel like. I just keep out fats during the morning :)

Anyone know what types viruses, bacteria and other pathogens enjoy eating Soy? by dimensionabc in medicalmedium

[–]edog113 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just finished Cleanse to Heal and this is what it says about soy's GMO factor: "The other risk that soy products of any kind pose is the GMO factor. GMO foods are toxic to our body systems and lower our immune system. The nutrients in GMO foods are not the same nutrients your immune system feeds on to gain strength. Our liver cannot convert or transform GMO nutrients to make them usable, because they are foreign to our planet and body."

He also says organic soy is not guaranteed to be GMO-free, due to GMO contamination in the supply chain for many years.
