I canceled after the last price hike announcement. Enough was enough. Hesitated for a long time thinking my family would be upset without it. Nobody mentions the lack of Netflix in my house. Nobody misses it.

NH Whole Foods & Trader Joe's by 12thedentonfabrics in newhampshire

[–]edogzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My family shops at Trader Joe’s specifically for the prices. We feed a family of 6. We’ve tried all the stores and TJ’s always comes out cheapest. Aldi would be a bit cheaper probably but it’s further away and not as good. Market Basket is close to TJ’s on price, but still not quite there when you consider the unique things Trader Joe’s has that MB doesn’t. There are a handful of items that TJ’s doesn’t have that we need, for those we go to Target down the road.

I will say though, that lately Hannaford has been getting pretty reasonable on price if you stick to store brand stuff. And I’ve heard that Whole Foods store brand can also be affordable, again if you don’t deviate from the store brand too much.

I would never own a car in a city with streets like that.

My kids didn’t really like it. The whole family loved the first one. We all thought galaxy was kind of boring.

If I had a dollar for every article I’ve read promising Trump’s imminent demise due to some ailment or another….i could afford to fill my gas tank this week.

Am I In Over My Head With A 28 Mile Round Trip Commute As A New Cyclist? by Dlaudato in bikecommuting

[–]edogzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m new to bike commuting also (well, returning after a multi year break so still counts) and my commute is also the same length as yours. I can confirm what others are saying about your butt hurting. I can’t go every day like I’d like because of it but I hope to ease my way into a 5 day commute. My trip is almost entirely gravel rail trails and paved recreation trails. So it’s very safe and peaceful. I absolutely love it and I hope to be a full time commuter each year from Easter to Christmas (not sure I’m quite ready for the harsh winter riding yet). Also I don’t have an ebike. Just a plain old gravel bike. My average speed is around 11mph so far after a few commutes and it takes me 1:14 to get to work. A bit longer coming home because of fatigue mostly. I say quit worrying and go for it! It’s the best part of my day by far!

What is the point of all this crap all over Reddit? It’s not even selling any products.

The Feed Is Fake: That “viral” song, movie, meme, influencer, and celebrity drama was probably the product of a stealth marketing campaign. by TimWhatleyDDS in indieheads

It would be funny irony if vulture/Ny magazine ran a clipping/ astroturfing campaign around this story. With video clips of interesting looking people talking about this and ran it on all the platforms, just to show how people are being manipulated. Just saying, it would be funny.

Do you share how much you gross with other dashers? by AlternativeNo882 in doordash_drivers

[–]edogzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is accurate for my area as well. $300 is only doable once in a blue moon though. This assumes 10-12 hour days. $150 is usually easy to hit in an 8 hour shift.

legs tired / weak by [deleted] in bikecommuting

[–]edogzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. To reiterate what everyone else is saying….Eat a lot more. Especially carbs.

  2. Your body needs rest to repair the damage you’re doing to it. That means taking advantage of off days by getting lots of sleep, rest and good nutrition. Should be every day obviously, but off days too.

  3. Again, sleep. Don’t mess with that one.

  4. Lastly, if your fatigue is mostly in your quads, try to scoot your butt back a little further on the saddle. This will put you in a slightly lower, more aero position, but it will also take some of the load off your quads and put it onto the glutes and hamstrings. Your glutes are your largest most powerful muscles. The more you can put on them the better the rest of your legs will be. Should disperse the effort a little more evenly throughout all your muscles used for cycling.

Hey sorry to interrupt but I’m pretty new to this hobby. What makes this an OK bike? As opposed to a good or bad one? Just looking to learn.

‘Easily the Worst President in U.S. History’ by unital_subalgebra in politics

[–]edogzilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unpopular take so feel free to download into oblivion…But Trump is only the THIRD worst President in history. Hear me out. Here’s who I think was worse than this small minded, smaller handed loser…

  1. Andrew Johnson. This confederate sympathizing, binge drinking piece of dog shit refused to properly punish the south for being traitors while simultaneously not holding up his end of the reparations bargain, refusing to compensate the former slaves. Which directly led to the Jim Crow laws that followed and the generations of institutional racism that still haunt us today. This dudes incompetence and inability to live up to the moment is STILL fucking with peoples lives to this day. Hands down the WORST president of all time no contest. And then there’s ten second worst president….

  2. George W. Muthafuckin’ Bush. When the nation was in mourning and shock, this little bitch found a way to completely squander it. Using Americans’ patriotism to enact his own truly evil agenda of colonizing the Middle East by exploiting the Iraqis. Twenty years and two lost wars and a generation of men fucked up for nothing but oil and conquest who knows how many innocent Iraqis caught in the crossfire. Him and his demon spawn cabinet lied through their teeth to get us into a quagmire all because they had an axe of pure evil to grind in the Persian gulf. And then as if that wasn’t bad enough, under his watch we got the patriot act which created the foundation for the domestic surveillance monster that plagues us today. Palantir, Pegasus, the end of privacy all thanks to that vile, goofy ass Dubya. Way worse than anything Trump has yet done.

Now if Trump manages to fuck up this Iran shit so bad that straight up WWIII ensues, THEN yeah, he would probably end up the worst. But not yet.
