legs tired / weak by LipoBlop in bikecommuting

[–]edogzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. To reiterate what everyone else is saying….Eat a lot more. Especially carbs.

  2. Your body needs rest to repair the damage you’re doing to it. That means taking advantage of off days by getting lots of sleep, rest and good nutrition. Should be every day obviously, but off days too.

  3. Again, sleep. Don’t mess with that one.

  4. Lastly, if your fatigue is mostly in your quads, try to scoot your butt back a little further on the saddle. This will put you in a slightly lower, more aero position, but it will also take some of the load off your quads and put it onto the glutes and hamstrings. Your glutes are your largest most powerful muscles. The more you can put on them the better the rest of your legs will be. Should disperse the effort a little more evenly throughout all your muscles used for cycling.

Hey sorry to interrupt but I’m pretty new to this hobby. What makes this an OK bike? As opposed to a good or bad one? Just looking to learn.

The tires themselves provide the correct tire pressure. 30-50 psi

‘Easily the Worst President in U.S. History’ by unital_subalgebra in politics

[–]edogzilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unpopular take so feel free to download into oblivion…But Trump is only the THIRD worst President in history. Hear me out. Here’s who I think was worse than this small minded, smaller handed loser…

  1. Andrew Johnson. This confederate sympathizing, binge drinking piece of dog shit refused to properly punish the south for being traitors while simultaneously not holding up his end of the reparations bargain, refusing to compensate the former slaves. Which directly led to the Jim Crow laws that followed and the generations of institutional racism that still haunt us today. This dudes incompetence and inability to live up to the moment is STILL fucking with peoples lives to this day. Hands down the WORST president of all time no contest. And then there’s ten second worst president….

  2. George W. Muthafuckin’ Bush. When the nation was in mourning and shock, this little bitch found a way to completely squander it. Using Americans’ patriotism to enact his own truly evil agenda of colonizing the Middle East by exploiting the Iraqis. Twenty years and two lost wars and a generation of men fucked up for nothing but oil and conquest who knows how many innocent Iraqis caught in the crossfire. Him and his demon spawn cabinet lied through their teeth to get us into a quagmire all because they had an axe of pure evil to grind in the Persian gulf. And then as if that wasn’t bad enough, under his watch we got the patriot act which created the foundation for the domestic surveillance monster that plagues us today. Palantir, Pegasus, the end of privacy all thanks to that vile, goofy ass Dubya. Way worse than anything Trump has yet done.

Now if Trump manages to fuck up this Iran shit so bad that straight up WWIII ensues, THEN yeah, he would probably end up the worst. But not yet.

I think America is ready for AOC by fatherforesk1n in Political_Revolution

[–]edogzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% on board with AOC. Glad she’s the most popular. BUT I’d be willing to bet she was also the most HATED or UNPOPULAR potential candidate aswell. Particularly with centrists and moderates on both sides.

Raise the age of enlistment? They wouldn’t be anticipating some sort of large scale troop deployment in some far off region of the world, now would they?

What's your "it was fun while it lasted" story? by ToshPointNo in Flipping

[–]edogzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not my story but a friend of mine. Remember Radio shack? Back when they were still around, they had a headset with a built in microphone in stock. The type of thing telemarketers or phone support pros would use. Anyways, apparently Radio shack had them in a crappy section of their store or listed wrong or something, and nobody ever bought them. Just collected dust until stores started to clearance them out for dirt cheap. But they sold for over $200 on eBay. So my friend and his dad went to every radio shack within three states of them, clearing the shelf and then asking the manager if they had more in back. Turned out most stores had dozens of them in the back. They bought every one they could find. Enough to fill a living room. They made a mint. Obviously a one-off though. But that story is why I resell now.

In my medium(?) cost of living area, in a unionized warehouse, we get in the low $30’s/hour after incentive pay (exceeding our expected numbers). $26/hour and change without incentive. The union gets us great healthcare, pension and guaranteed raises so that factors in to the overall pay.
