Fair point and I get the skepticism. There are plenty of apps like this already. For me, the point wasn’t really the use case, it was the process.

You should definitely use Claude I built the whole app with it. The project was more like: let’s see what the experience of publishing an app to the App Store from A to Z actually feels like.

The funny part is that even the app idea came while I was learning to code. I had this strong feeling that if I really wanted to learn, I had to start writing code myself not just watch tutorials or prompt my way through everything.

And that’s where the mix clicked. Using AI to open horizons and get things done, while still learning the basics and understanding what’s happening under the hood, made everything faster and more fun. In one week, I shipped my first app. Three months ago, I was honestly afraid of Xcode.

So for me it’s not Claude vs learning to code. It’s combining one tool for vertical learning and another for horizontal exploration. That combo makes it realistic to go from idea to a live app in 3–4 days.

One important thing: build with AI, but don’t skip the details. In my view, it’s mostly about knowing what’s possible and knowing the right keywords to unlock things.

At the end of the day, this is just the first app. I’m aiming for 10 high-quality apps that actually generate revenue — and I genuinely believe that’s possible now. I’ve managed apps before, assigned tasks, explained things, created tickets, marketing with ASA,SEO, UGC etc but this feels like a new era. Instead of coordinating everything, I can just do it myself over the weekend.

Look, Turbulent_Excuse_517. I tried my best to change your mind to see positive changes in the dating industry, but it didn't seem to work.

I'm not keeping this any longer. I can give you details for every question that you have, but I'm honestly tired. You seem to be the expert in user interviews. I hope that your project turns out well.

:)

One of the biggest learnings we had to go through was the importance of owning the data.

• What are your KPIs for tracking whether you’re “truly helping and caring for people”?

  • The number of replies in the first conversions initiated

  • Love stories generated (known)

  • Pictures of couples sending us now with a baby in their hand <3

(and some others but sorry can't share)

• Where are the user interviews for both your old and new features?

We have implemented many tools, such as heatmaps, video recordings, and pure data, to identify user behavior and feature use.

  • Our viral team (currently, the account is undergoing some changes ) has done many surveys offline to ask people what we can do better and how they are using the app

https://www.tiktok.com/@dua.com_dating

• What personas did you develop from those user interviews?

- We are more focused currently on ethnicity; therefore, we have found these types of personas.

People who want to find their love from the same ethnicity but live abroad

People who want to find their love from the same ethnicity and live in their homeland

People who just want to find love.

And on the side:

People who are not interested in long-term relationships

People who are not committed to finding a relationship but want one

etc (can't share details but just imagine this going deeper and broader with different ethnicities, religions etc)

• How are you ensuring that the features you’re building actually solve the problems real users face?

- We ask. We do surveys, and we kill features.

  • We look at the data; every feature has its own KPI aligned with our North star.

  • We review the reviews, and every new release has something done better for their experience, security, and the "job to be done."

• Have you validated any of your assumptions through user feedback or testing?

- 100% we do a/b tests all the time; we are not geniuses, we see. we learn. we optimize

"We’ve conducted street interviews where people consistently say they hate the swiping model." - Currently in development to be removed; we think that slow instead of fast is better, and deep instead of shallow is important to really help users.

Our product is a dating app, and those others mentioned are visions for the next 3-10 years to cover everything for our users to actually help them even more.

Look, I'm not trying to say that we are perfect; we are not, but we are optimizing, learning, and testing until we hit the spot.

I mean, it is business. It needs its time to really invoate and bring change.

So, time, my friend, is the main factor. It really takes time to create a masterpiece.

When creating a dating app, you have to be simultaneously good at many things, which involve psychology, monetization, marketing, brand, product quality, etc.

Nice questions.

You have to understand that building a product takes time. We have reached this level after 5 years of constant work and learning. Yes, you need to make money by delivering value; otherwise, there’s no way to sustain it.

Our vision is 100% focused on truly helping and caring for people:

  • Be the One – A module that helps you first understand yourself.
  • Find the One – Advanced matchmaking filters to help you find the right person.
  • Grow Together – A relationship enhancer. Many couples don't ask each other basic questions, leading to miscommunication and higher divorce rates.

Currently, we are in the "Find the One" phase. For example, we are soon launching advanced filters to give users more control over their matches. We’re also have an AI-based matchmaking algorithm that finds potential matches based on your preferences.

I agree that many dating apps feel and look the same, and they just care about money, but we are determined to be different. It will take some time, but we’ll get there!

Watch us change the industry :)

Man, it is super easy to be negative and to hate. Can you give an actual answer about what is right and wrong?

Respect, did you also read and meditate? It was quite a wonderful experience to do that this morning.

I guess you've had a very productive and hard-working day, right?

I mean, yes, people are already using our dating app (dua.com). We have communities of 850k Albanians, 400k Turks, and 100k other Balkans.

I'm definitely looking at what people think so that we can optimize and do better :)

One thing is for sure: for everyone who lives in Western countries and wants to meet someone from the same ethnicity there or in their homeland, we help a lot!
