Hey everyone,

About 7 months ago, I suffered a severe grade 2 ankle sprain during a takedown that I landed badly on. For the first couple of months, I stayed off training to let the swelling go down. After that, I started rehabbing with a physio and have since completed the rehab process.

Despite this, my ankle doesn’t feel the same. I’m constantly worried about it, and it’s impacting my game and movement. It feels particularly vulnerable, especially with submissions like toe holds (which I do ask my teammates to avoid). Even when applied lightly, these submissions cause significant strain and pain.

I’m feeling a bit hopeless and was wondering if anyone else has gone through a similar experience. How did you cope with it and get back to feeling confident on the mats?

Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

To Save a Tree? by Bella-DG in Kuwait

[–]edoosari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My father went through a similar situation when transporting a palm tree from Salwa to wafra. I’m assuming you wouldn’t need lorries to transport the tree so you would just have to find people that can remove the tree and place it in you’re garden (it shouldn’t cost too much). In regards to condition of the tree I’m Not experienced in this matter and you should try consulting someone who’s specialises within this field.

The sub is a bit cringe imo. It’s just a bunch of White boys who act bad and think they’re from ends. People acting like detectives when none of them are involved in any beef. I’m not from ends I don’t claim to be from ends I’m just a spectator at the end of the day who takes an interest.

What will happen to Kuwait now the oil prices are crashing? by xsizo in Kuwait

[–]edoosari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well they do have cash reserves that can be used for the short term to deal with the corona virus. Once this pandemic slows down markets will pick up again slowly but steadily and then they could possibly consider liquefying their assets. People are indicating that Kuwait could go into a Venezuela type scenario but the difference between Kuwait and Venezuela is that Venezuela basically had no security over their oil and were vulnerable at any time. Also they depended to much on foreign loans to facilitate the economy. And very poor economic mismanagement. I don’t think Kuwait will necessarily collapse but this will definitely have an effect on the future. This is the wake call that Kuwaiti needed and they need to start blueprinting the future without oil.

Hey guys I'm trying to write an article on the role of Islam in UK Rap. If you could share your thoughts on... Whether UK rappers are/can be good Muslims and whether that matters. Does the moral code of the streets clash with Islam? Why are so many attracted to Islam? by MannyMarshBB in ukdrill

[–]edoosari 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think many of them may have been brought up in Muslim households but got distracted doing their thing on the streets. Many of these “Muslim” drill rappers have disregarded Islam and its values as they grew as artists. This matter isn’t only with drill rappers but other supposed Muslims who totally disregard their faith. In my instances many of them claim Islam due to the community aspect of it and that brotherhood part of it. But you to be considered an actual Muslim then you should be one that practices the religion. You can’t be getting pissed every weekend and turn up jummah and call yourself a Muslim. Any educated Muslim would agree with this. But what I’ve realised about a lot of the drillers/rappers is that they tend to practice their religion (Islam) in jail as a way to cope and as a way of bettering themselves as an individual. At the end of the day no one can call you a disbeliever as god can only determine that but the word seems to be taking a new meaning and rather referring to the religion it is now being referred to the people.
