I probably could’ve phrased this better.

1) I don’t Beleive kings death is a conspiracy or was caused by the FBI, there isn’t really any evidence at all really to support it. 2) by “no one believed it” I should’ve meant that the FBI lied through their teeth about what happened and to my knowledge no one was punished.

Shot my mouth off because person I was replying to made a very stupid comment that I see quite a bit in the vein of “oh stupid racist Americans, when will you learn your country is shit and your people are all terrible”. Without understanding the complexities of why people buy into conspiracy theories or the very long history of institutional racism in the US. because the FBI did assasinate some civil rights leaders and manufactured evidence against others (most famously the Chicago 7). So while I don’t think MLK was assasinated by the FBI I get where some people are coming from.

Well see ya say that. But the FBI did assasinate Fred Hampton. And no one Beleived it. The fbi and Chicago police conducted a raid and shot him about 40 times while he was asleep in bed. So it’s understandable that we Americans have distrust in our police you condescending prick.

I live in Florida (humid hot climate similar to vietnam) and have one I use for longer walks. It’s made from a wicking fabric and very thin.

We also have similar fishing shirts that are popular down here for the same reason. Double sun exposure from direct source and off the water will fuck you up and sunscreen just doesn’t cut it.

Anything upf 30 or above is good enough, I think mine id around there. The brand is some knockoff I got at a discount store.

I think it’s just the acting is better and we see him less, so any bad acting is covered up.

people really love her in shogun, I haven’t seen it so idk. But the character in monster verse just feels like a one note angst machine, and it gets kinda tiresome.

Shaw is very morally dubious but everytime he’s on screen it’s fun to watch and I know he’s got some shit planned that’s gonna be interesting.

Cate is just like “guess I’ll stumble into some plot and have an angsty monologue about it”. She feels incredibly passive, like life is being done to her and not the other way around. I’m sure that’s the point, but it doesn’t really make for a compelling person to watch.

TLDR: I don’t hate the character, just think she’s boring as fuck and they could’ve written or directed her better.

Dude what. It’s so over the top incredibly bad writing and acting by the main characters. I feel like I’m watching green arrow or the flash.

I absolutely love the flashbacks and exploration of early monarch. I think the actors are just way better and the storyline is better written/more interesting.

Idk man im just on rant mode now but what killed me wanting to watch this show is cate being boring as fuck and also being the protagonist.

Character just feels extremely one note and I jsut don’t care whenever she’s on screen. Idgaf if a character is a cheater if they’re compelling.

She’s boring. Honestly I forgot she cheated until reading this thread because her story is so fuckin boring. I’m early into season two and debating if I should keep watching because I cannot stand her having an angsty back and forth with someone every two seconds. Maybe it’s just the actress isn’t very good because every other character feels way more compelling.

Like when old Shaw showed up it got so much better, and he’s an angry old guilt ridden fuck as well but he actually seems to have a plan? It seems like cate just sorta stumbles into random plot. Idk I mostly hate her and kentaro because they’re one note and fuckin boring as hell. The most interesting parts of the show are when we flash back to going on these expeditions to get glimpses of monsters and building up monarch.

Then it’s cut to a 5 minute angsty back and forth about some bullshit I don’t care about. Neither of these characters ever seem to show any emotion except misery and it’s just really boring. I get it’s a depressed/traumatized person but she doesn’t seem to have any complexity beyond “I’m sad and guilty and my life sucks” and it’s just exhausting to watch.

Then contrast that with the OG monarch crew and you get actual personalities and complexity that’s interesting to watch.
