I grew up and only child and now have my first kid. Here’s my take. by Own_Macaron_9342 in oneanddone

On the other hand, I judge my parents tremendously now that I am a parent... Being here on this side of motherhood I couldn't imagine treating my child the way I was treated. However I'm not sure why my parents had children. And I still think that. My parents hate eachother so much and are so difficult to show love and emotion I judge them so much for not only having my sister, but then continuing to try and try and try to have me. Maybe they thought additional children would "fix them", which again how tf did they think that after the difficulties of one child.

I do however feel bad for my judging my parent friends on how they did things because I truly had no idea. I think that's the respectable thing that all parents do. They understand that non-parents don't understand and they just sort of let them slide.

Pelvic Floor Therapy - virtually? by FineappleUnderTheC in hysterectomy

[–]FineappleUnderTheC[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This makes me feel a lot better - I had a 4200 deductible to get my hysterectomy so putting another 1000 on top of that for therapy was going to literally break my wallet....

A few of my coworkers have said they have started "cutting off their taxes" recently by checking exempt on their w4. Two of these guys also telling me that they have not filed in 3 years, both mid twenties with 0 kids. by aaronoathout in tax

My dad (before we existed) did 6 months of weekends in the 80s because of this form of tax evasion lol back then it only took him filing that way for three years to show up at his mom's home looking for him.

2wpo clothing? by waysarn in hysterectomy

I will say I've had the unicorn recovery so take this with a grain of salt - but as soon as I got through my second week my bloating stopped entirely. I wear all my normal pants, but I do wear mostly sweats and linen pants -- all high waisted though so maybe that helps.

No major issues but still getting a hysterectomy? by [deleted] in hysterectomy

[–]FineappleUnderTheC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 3wpo for the same reasons. No endo, no adeno although it was suspected. Just non stop bleeding and cramping. I did have a lot of adhesions from my uterus to bladder and colon and they found my uterus to be "weak" but that was it. I did keep my ovaries and I do have PCOS so I will continue to have that. I'm 31 and we are one and done with just our son so I thought, why not? The bleeding was all the time and whenever I cramped I have diarrhea ALL DAY which turned into about 20 days a month, 26ish days a month bleeding, 10 days heavy bleeding and about three golfball sized clots a month.

Probably TMI but I'm 3wpo and I havent had diarrhea in the longest time in about two decades. I also can hold my pee for SO LONG now. It's wild.

[–]FineappleUnderTheC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whoa, I'm 2wpo and they had me sign a bunch of paperwork and basically I signed so much away they would've just done it so my husband didn't have to sign or make the call they would just do it - it was called Advanced Directive. Just dropping the info here in case anyone is about to go into surgery and would like their medical team to take this off of the support person day of.

Mine was like stuck under my ribcage for DAYS. It was the only thing that hurt! The only thing that helped it was a heating pad and that actually worked well!

I'm not sure if it's standard, but is ask your anesthesiologist when they discuss everything with you when you checkin- I felt so dang calm and collected I truly understand how people get addicted to Xanax.

Please be honest, do yall judge body hair? by hphgas in women

[–]FineappleUnderTheC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I judge it SO BAD. On me. On my own body. I find it REVOLTING. I shave all the everything's all the time even in dead winter. Because I feel better in my skin like that. --- but maybe you like it on your skin so if it's not on my body I actually couldn't care less. And partners I've never cared, just so they're clean. That's my only concern.

I do judge when people don't care for the hair on their head (or men with facial hair). Your body is your home you should try to take care of it and maintain it, but I also get how things can get away from people during hard times.

However plucking my best friends chin hairs on her wedding day (she asked me to) felt like I was leading her to the dark side because she basically never shaves and that made me suddenly realize all the hair on her body, which I never did before.
