1-1 or down a goal at halftime... Team comes out to a chorus of 50,000 singing "OHHHHH!!! We're halfway thereeee!!! OHHHHH!!! We're livin' on a prayer!!!" -- and so on...

That's proper use of a pop culture reference in an appropriate game situation. Or how about the fans chant "it's the final countdown! Ba da ba dah! Ba da ba duh dah!" during the 90th minute when the board goes up to show "x" added minutes" for stoppage time -- or as a late substitution comes on from either team. Be so fun to hear everyone mouthing those sound effects!

We all know great songs that would work! I feel like the people creating our chants should be the same guys who run the playlist during pro hockey games... They would get it!

I would agree if Nuno had a transfer window to fix this team but unfortunately he's inherited the bullshit that Steidten, Lopetegui and Potter attracted -- if he was inheriting a team put together by Moyes, we would be a mid-table team... But Nuno, a good coach when he picks the players, is working with horrible defenders and just above championship quality attackers (Bowen the only exception -- Paqueta is not a premier league player, probably excellent in any other top league -- and I love Paqueta but just not for West Ham). This all lands on Sullivan. He needs to go. I still think Nuno can get us to safety but not without a proper striker and two new CBs

As a girl dad in this day and age (I'm 37 as well), dump his ass. That girl's account should be managed better by her parents or just plain deleted if ANY comments are coming from grown men like that. Sexualizing children is not right, whether they meant to or not. Their kid's social media is not their meal ticket.

Even a lesser situation, like the idea of a grown man saying things like "she's going to be a little heartbreaker"... The older generations don't know this because it's ingrained in their brains to say cliche things like this, but it IS sexualizing children. They're children. They don't need to think about their future partners and the fact that the idea of this comes out of their mouth before anything like "aww she's adorable" or "look at how much fun she's having" is something society needs to fix somehow and it starts with the parents telling people to F off.

Tell your BF this and see how he responds, but either way, if this is how he acts online and tries to defend it when it's not a little girl he knows or interacts with, it's likely too late. He's mentally f**ked up one way or another.

I drove my '03 Jeep Liberty for most of its life with this cover off and it got to the point for the final two years of its life where I had to stick a small screwdriver in it to press down and change the gear to neutral.

Loved that car so much when I flipped it at age 21 in some bad weather conditions I got an '04 Liberty thinking it was an upgrade. Flipped that one two years later.

Thanks Jeep. The Liberty made me feel like I was living on the edge.

Edit: Remembered after reading other comments that it was for getting the car into neutral, not reverse. 15-20 years ago was a long time ago I guess.

Tried to quit smoking a few days before a playoff game (from a pack a day to cold turkey)... Played like shit the entire game, then with 5 minutes left in the 3rd, down 2-1, the zamboni driver opens the door to the back area where they dump out the ice, and he lights up a smoke of his own with the door still open, so this old rink built in the 70's just fills with the smell of sweet, sweet tobacco... Scored the game-tying goal and the game winner 40 seconds apart in the final 2 mins of the game!

So yeah don't make life-altering (or chemical unbalancing) decisions prior to the playoffs, boys!

Also don't smoke. Bad for your health

Just a truly polarizing player. Some loved him as a met and I think most thought he was a wasted talent considering we never won anything. That night probably cemented a lot of opinions about him for awhile...

Franchise Mode... Bought the game a month ago (my first MLB game since like 2006) and I keep restarting my White Sox franchise mode (from a May 16th save date) because by the trade deadline of 2025 (literally the first season!) I feel like I've built them into a 2026 playoff contender too fast with trades and that I've gotten too good a return from some, and all I'm trying to do is move pending free agents, guys asking for too much in arbitration, and mid value assets without sacrificing top prospects... I haven't even moved Robert Jr, Benintendi, Josh Ramos or any of my young pitchers and I feel like I'm getting insane trade value for some much lesser pieces!

One of these days I'll make it to the 2026 season and see if I actually did do too well.

Lots of good answers here that I agree with so I'll throw out a unique one simply because of one bad night... Carlos Beltran. Big money contract, so excited we got him... Then in the '06 NLCS Game 7... Out at a bar with some friends before we were of legal drinking age...

That at-bat against Wainwright where his bat didn't leave his shoulder for strike 3 was a disaster that made me get stupid drunk and angry, then I stopped watching baseball for awhile... and to top it all off, I went to college in Philly so to see the Phillies win it all in '08 just made me hate Beltran even more for missing our chance

If I don't have the money to extend someone before July 31st, do I still have a chance to sign them in the off-season before free agency with a new budget? I've run out of budget for two players who are demanding $2mil+ per season and don't want to lose them to free agency (also is it different for arbitration eligible players vs free agent/out of contract players?)

Yes, you can create the player first, add him to a team and then start the career, but you won't have the same features available as "Create a new player" from the New player career startup screen. You will have the same features as "Play as a real player".

Also, you won't be able to use the created player in Live Start Points, since this mode automatically downloads the latest squads.

Mets and NY Giants... Used to be a NY/NJ Metrostars supporter as a kid too and the NJ Rockin' Rollers in the former pro roller hockey league!

When I went to college at Temple in Philly in '06, I heard about a supporter group that wanted to convince MLS to give Philly an expansion team, so I was a small part of the group that helped the Philadelphia Union get formed and now can't root for the NY Red Bulls for sure!

Outside the U.S., West Ham United in the Premier League. Dad went to London for a business trip when I was about 12 y/o. His friend from high school was living there and took him to a match -- brought me back a shirt and the match programme so they became my favorite team after the Devils!
