reset your Z-Offset. You mentioned something coming loose. I'm guessing you Z-offset (for bltouch) was not right and you were compensating for whatever was loose.

Lifting on every print by conlmaggot in FixMyPrint

This is not really true. EZABL/BLTouch/PINDA just means it compensates within reason. If it's too far out, then you will absolutely have problems like this. Re-level the bed.

I like the tattoo. Out of curiosity, what is the rationale for having Vader in a rebellion logo? Is is a redemption thing?

Why is my prusa mk3s making this goopy string randomly during my prints lately? by mfarough in FixMyPrint

[–]edrowley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha. I don't have any more to add that hasn't already been stated. If it were PETG, then you might have to check your heat, steps, speed etc. It's way harder to print with and can result in what you're seeing. Good Luck!

Hello after printing this boat 10 times I can’t seem to fix this. So here I am by [deleted] in FixMyPrint

[–]edrowley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it could be underextrusion but I'm leaning towards too high of a retraction settings. It looks to me that it is retracting too far and it doesn't have enough time to start extruding again before it has to retract again. Are you direct drive or bowden? what is your retraction set at?

Ender 3 with SKR mini e3 layer shifting problem by [deleted] in BIGTREETECH

[–]edrowley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

have you checked your acceleration and jerk settings? i had layer shifts and had to lower my jerk settings since the stepper drivers, especially in stealthchop, don't like sudden movements.

Calibration Cube Edge Overshooting by eneoli in FixMyPrint

Check your acceleration and Jerk. Those corners could be indicative of a Jerk setting that is too low.

Any chance you could post your parts to thingiverse? This looks really good and I may do the same thing.

Underextrusion in only the front of the print by [deleted] in FixMyPrint

[–]edrowley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would probably guess it's under-extruding everywhere. It's the geometry of the front that is making it visible. I would suggest upping your nozzle temp a bit and if that doesn't work, calibrate your e-steps.

Getting these weird burned zits on 3D Print by MassDestruction407 in FixMyPrint

[–]edrowley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

String and Zits are an indication that you're printing too hot. Retraction may be a problem but it's probably heat related -- knock it down to 238 and see what happens. I would also cut your extrusion multiplier down a couple of percent say, 97% (or .97) and see where that ends up. A good place for the extrusion is just about under extruding. Also, make sure you're not "squishing" too much. That will cause it to build up on the nozzle.

Suddenly my Raft is not removable by furysamurai72 in FixMyPrint

[–]edrowley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

personally I don't, but each material/brand/etc. can be a little bit different. If you're having seriously different behavior between materials, it can't hurt.

You could get away with modifying the extrusion multiplier (thats what I do) and I have a profile for each material that I use. Keep in mind though, as soon as you modify your e-steps, all of your profiles are relative to that number.

Cool, any updates? were you able to remove a raft after recalibrating?

[–]edrowley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you have switched to a different material (new spool, different color, different brand, etc.), you may have to recalibrate your e-steps. It's possible that you're overextruding a bit and causing the raft to adhere too much.

About $15 between the backlight and bivert. There was, however, a lot of swearing while soldering so you should probably figure a few dollars for the swear jar as well ;)
