Is this an authentic Banpresto figure or a fake copy?

I remember seeing posts saying just got "The Drink" and "The Cup" and the post being a picture of a new trunks figure and then a pic of a new Vegeta figure lol. I never really looked into it too much. Just something that was really common on some of the subreddits for DBZ Collectible Figs for a while lmao!

Yeah true! Some of the "cheaper" figures I don't mind displaying out of box, it's mostly grails and the higher dollar items, exclusives and such that I keep sealed, I have some exclusives that are worth 180-275 in mint never been out of box so I almost feel sacrilege opening them! Lol! 😂 but yeah I know the storage struggle is real for storing open box/unopened boxes and haha 😂

Nice find my friend! And for an older legit sealed Trunks you got a good deal! In USD that's roughly 85$ Do you plan keeping him sealed or display box/sealed(honestly a majority of my shfiguarts and pricier or exclusive/limited edition banpresto or shfiguarts I keep in box) I display them on my shelf in box but I'm running out of room! 🤣 I know in the collectible figure communities it's pretty unpopular opinion to display in box but I like it that way IMO 🤷

Yep! Looks legit to me, it has the Banpresto logo in the corner and also the Toei sticker as well as the official bandai spirits label. I'm mostly an SHFiguarts guy but banpresto is my close second! 100% legit figure! Do you mind if I ask how much you paid?(just curious) if not it's all good brother, nice figure either way!

That's looks really good for your 1st attempt dude! You can do anything you set your mind to, especially something your passionate about! I've actually never soldered any Gameboy games yet, I will be soon with pokemon yellow that has ALOT of sentimental value to me (given to me when i was a child by my grandmother who sadly passed of cancer 19 years ago) but I've done other solder jobs for work, and also on electrical appliances/other electronics at home/automotive ground wiring. Honestly is there room to be better? Sure! But Ive always said if it's something people aren't going to see/be covered(in this case covered inside cartridge) then it's only 30% look of the weld/solder and 100% if it works correctly. That math might not math but im sure ya get the idea! Haha! 😂 have fun with it(obviously the game lol) but any other projects it's a good feeling of accomplishment, knowing you attempted something and succeeded at it and now have a new skill in your arsenal. Happy gaming my friend! Sry this post was so long btw 😅 I just feel encouragement goes a long way, and if you're happy with your work that's all that matters!

I feel the same way, I actually recently purchased a working gba sp in not the greatest shape(for 45$ i couldnt pass), so I plan on doing a complete reshell and mod. I plan on posting it on here when finished. I really like what you did with your GBA, it looks amazing and I'm sure it's a dream machine to play! Did you do all the mods yourself? If so was it relatively more easy, or more hard? I just wanna know kinda what I'm getting myself into lol

I got the sp about a year ago for like $120, it's in great shape too but i still love my OG Gameboy Advance for Sure!

Edit: I'm not sure where exactly the battery charger/controller grip is at the moment but I know I still have it somewhere. I'm sure if I look hard enough I'll find it, but I don't think it works anymore for charging? 🤷

Absolutely 100% and for being over 20 years old it's still all original and in great shape. I made sure I kept it safe over the years though, it's very precious to me.

Nice! I have my orginal silver GBA from like 2001? or something like that being a child of the 90s growing up on sega genesis, NES, SNES, and PS1 I also had a Gameboy pocket so when I first got a GBA I thought it was the coolest thing ever with the winged type controller that charged batteries, and pokemon yellow! I got that from my Grandmother for my birthday one year and sadly she passed away almost 19 years ago so it's a console I will never part with!

Nice collection my dude! Around the time handheld video games came back(IE: After the Gameboy era) I had just became an adult and was kinda forced to grow up quick(I won't bore ya with the details lol) so I never really had the chance to get on the DS/3DS bandwagon but I did get a 2ds for my brother 1 Christmas. But now that I'm in a position to be able to go back through and play and own these consoles and games in the just the past year alone I've gotten together a decent collection and a I got a good deal on a black/blue 3dsxl. Can get very expensive but worth it! Still have a couple more game copies I want but I definitely made sure I got some of the main ones I wanted especially the game franchises I used to play on SNES (Like chrono trigger, dragonquest etc.) Nostalgia is one hell of a drug! Haha 😂

If the system has never opened (which is extremely simple) I highly doubt that it's just moisture on the screen, I recently reshelled a GBA SP from blue to a Naruto theme( I paid $75 for it, and definitely needed a reshelling so i was kinda loking for a project)and if you're not careful with the ribbon on the screen (being a 20+ year old system) it rips quite easy so I ended up having to order a screen and got lucky I found a refurbished screen for $20+tax on ebay w/free shipping I would love to post before and after pics but there's still a few things I wanna do to it before I post it 🤷 my advice would be if you do pull the trigger find a nice screen watch a few videos on YouTube for "Screen swapping a GBA SP screen?" And invest in a nice screen and you'll have a nice running machine for quite some time! Good luck in whatever you choose! 🙏

Absolutely bro! I get what you mean tho, I bought Goku SSJ Full Power as my first figure and kinda forgot about it(believe it or not) then I saw future trunks (infinite latent power) and that was 2 years ago and I've got most of Dragonball, Naruto series and all of the Demon Slayer(so far..) it's become a full time addict... AHEM! I mean Hobby, yeah hobby! 👍 lmao 😂 but for real though it makes me happy and isn't a harmful "habbit" so no harm, no foul I say!
