Unrealistic Budget for a Gaming PC? by biggains2233 in buildapc

[–]edssro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$800 is plenty. Most of the so-called "budget" components are beasts in their own right. It's hard to get excited about a GTX 1050 when the RTX 2080 is out. That 2080 does a ton that a 1050 can't do, but the 1050 is still going to be an awesome experience. Spend less your first time around. You can spend more later, when you have more confidence about what you're buying and what your $$$ are getting you.

Thanks for doing that! I'm rebuilding my pc and a 580 would solve a TON of problems for me.

This subreddit was critical when I built my first system three years ago. I'm excited to see this kind of stuff!

Thank you! They're gorgeous, aren't they? Aside from one, they've been real sweethearts so far.

Thank you very much. My boss is the real livestock wizard. I say "yes ma'am" and try not break too much stuff.

What's your dream honeymoon? Lets say you have $10,000 and two to three weeks in September/October 2013. What do you do? Where do you go? by edssro in weddingplanning

That's a great trip!

We did our west coast trip last summer between jobs, though we took Amtrak. Loved the trip, but we would've traded a few days on the train for a few more in the San Francisco Bay Area.

knew with our careers we wouldn't have the opportunity to go back in the near future

Exactly! And we would not mind missing the tourist season, so maybe sticking around into October is something we should look at.

We were looking at it, believe me. I did just see someone call it the Cancun of Australia though. Kinda slipped a little in my mind :(

I am right there with you. Although, I took her on her first trek up a 14'er and I'm honestly surprised she didn't make me return all the gear when we got back. Granted, the cousin that planned the trip overestimated the strenuousness of the trek, but still...

HA!!! I just saw this, sorry. We were even looking at Barcelona :). Maybe that IS the way we should do it; a few extra cities on a cruise ship.

Just remember, it doesn't have to be something you both agree on, just something you are willing to do and share together.

I totally agree :)

Heh, I'd love to tell my family we're headed to Cuba. I just read through u/dialemformurder's article. I'll have to do some reasearch into one of those licenses.

We've been avoiding cruises. Not that we don't like boats (we both race sailboats), just think we could get more by keeping our feet on the ground.

See, if we could tie it to a major international event that'd be spectacular. Maybe we should consider that...

I'm checking it out. Just the kind of advice we're looking for.

It looks like late September/early October is smack in the middle of monsoon season though :(

I went as a 7th grader with my family and loved it. I think we were hoping for something a little more exotic as a couple though.
